That’s a very excellent warmup routine. As a 62 year-old 1500 meter runner I’ve still got a lot to learn and I will be copying this!

seeing how these kids are still very young and have a lot of space to grow, these drills are important to make sure they get stimulus from other activity other than running. This could help them avoid injuries in the longer run.

I see the students practice very seriously, not laughing, or joking. It will help them improve fast. That's so good!
Love running on these surfaces, the forgiving surface provides longevity in running. Won't get injured so easily.

It is very impressive see everyone is doing the drills as if they are one organism. Just imagining their effort and time put into these kind of drills made me respect them. I am going to pick some of the drills myself. Thanks for sharing!

With that discipline and that mentality, Japan will be the future power of athletics.
I, 68 years old man, made 6 x 75 wall push ups in six hours. From Germany. ❤😂🎉 Good luck young men. From Germany.😂

Awesome running drills....thank you for sharing! I'll be using these drills on my sprint day workouts. All the best to these dedicated running athletes!
Now that I'm old, I wish I had better physical training in middle and high school. Well, but then I'm pretty sure I would have hated it so much back then.

I started weightlifting this year. I am 33 yo. Can always change if you'd like and try to do a marathon as a goal be it 5km, 21km or 42km.

와~ 일본이 왜 마라톤을 잘하는지...학생들의 훈련을 보며 깨닫습니다....저는 50대 아저씨지만 영상을 보며 많은 도움을 얻네요~ 코치님과 학생들을 진심으로 응원합니다~
Deutsche Leichtathleten (Läufer) machen diese Aufwärmübungen auch. Nur sind die meisten Trainingsgruppen viel kleiner.

Do some of the runners get recruited to American Universities?
@TempoJapanАй бұрын
Not from this high school specifically but a very few go to the US yes. Like Yukichi Ishii who we did a video about. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h36yiKagiMqFmqM&pp=ygUWdGVtcG8gamFwYW4geXVraSBpc2hpaQ%3D%3D More than 20 high schoolers in Japan run in under 14 minutes every year so the field is really deep.

@@hanlosingit they usually run in the morning around 8km, then they do a workout in the afternoon/evening. Before the workout, they do 1h, 1.5h of drills and then after the workout, they do jumps and other kind of exercises too.

Up to 130/140km, not so much different from other schools. The difference are the drills and mindset.
