Good little intro into plyometrics, and his book for functional training is truly excellent, although you may add a few other books and details around it, but he provides an holistic and chronological perspective on all the basic components of a training programme, along with explanations, details and close-up photos of each of these programme elements, one of which is plyometrics! So thank you Mr Boyle for your incisive and explanatory analysis, you made things a lot better and easier for me.

Guess the track event should be called the triple hop and not the triple jump. Carl Lewis was a great in the long hop event.

5-6reps.. No more than 5seconds of work and rest should be full so about 20-30seconds of rest in between sets

Find his book on Amazon called 'New functional training for sports', it's only about £15-18, and it explains all the necessary parts of a complete programme, not only with detailed explanations and photos, but in the right order, and plyometrics is a part of this integrated programme for functionality and true athleticism, in fact might I add, it's essential!
