What a beautiful looking Factor Ostro VAM! I've installed the Elite Wheels pro 36 earlier this week on my Specialized Stumpjumper. 1520 grams and they did cost me 550 Euro. So far they have been exceptional. I did go with their pro hub design (DT-Swiss clone with 36 PoE) and thy spin so fast that I always move to the front of my MTB Group while not pedaling. The wheelset is on the stiffer side for sure but stil complaient. Happy riding and cheers from Switzerland

I've ordered them on April 3rd and they shipped them yesterday. I got the 46d unfortunately the golden decals weren't available anymore 😔. Looking forward to get my hands on them, or even better my bike 😂😂

@@robbarmstrong8702 definitely not tubeless, I'm gonna add a Shimano dura ace cassette 2x12 11-34, tires, Vitoria corsa pro, and discs, Shimano ... either the rt-mt800 or the 900. I'm currently riding a Scott addict 20 that came in 105 and I'll upgrade it to dura ace piece by piece 😁

@@robbarmstrong8702 yes it is (the foil) but so is it's price😂😂. The thing is that in my region in France if you will turn your head 360° you will only see mountains, the Pyrenees, that's why I bought the 46d...every year the tour de France passes here. So you would not enjoy a foil in my region because it's not built for climbing. And yes Scott do make some really nice bikes... they are stiff and power is immediately felt without sacrificing confort 😉. But my heart still goes to Trek..well... because of "uncle Lance" 😁

I’m on Reynolds AR58/62’s right now and have ordered a pair of Drive Helix 68D’s. It looks like you went from AR58/62X’s to the Drive Helix 57D’s. Can you compare the two at all yet?

ARX58/62’s were TRASH! Worst disc brake wheel I’ve ridden. I rode them for about 50 or so miles and sold them. They just didn’t feel good, ☹️ I hated the free-hub sound, the wheel engagement and they were extremely susceptible to wind. They *looked good though, 🤷🏽‍♂️ #RobbArmstrong

Interesting. I know the non-X version, the ones I’m riding now, are heavier. They’re also a bit less stiff. I have caught some wind gusts that have blown me across a lane a few feet, but that’s rare. Not too bothered by the freehub sound. At 10 degrees of engagement, the hubs aren’t anything to write home about. I take it you’re liking the 57Ds much more?

The 57d’s were okay but I sent them back to Elite when afforded the opportunity. I specifically wanted a lighter weight wheel, ☹️ I lucked up on the DT Swiss. Just happened to find a *CRAZY deal that I couldn’t pass up. My lighter weighted wheels are being built up now and are the last piece I need for the V•A•M to be complete. I’m excited about them! 🙂 #RobbArmstrong

I've got the 68Ds and they are really good on the road. The hub is actually pretty quiet at low speeds and ramps up as the speed increases.

@@miHah I actually forgot to weigh them before installing. The website reads 1465g (30g+-) and honestly, I just went from 50mm wheels to these and I don’t really notice a difference to getting up to speed but one thing is for sure, the hold sleep so well.
