This is a horrific event however I’m certain tons of other people, particularly of color, go missing and are murdered in Memphis almost daily. What about those people? They don’t get the full force of ALL these agencies do they? Memphis is a pit of crime but these people are using the opportunity to showboat and prop themselves up. Why don’t they talk about the system that let the alleged murderer out before serving his full sentence for a similar crime? Talk about the system in Memphis that is broken which allows these crimes to happen. I’m sorry for Eliza’s family and every other family whose loved one was murdered and never found. My Thoughts, Love and Prayers go out to Eliza Fletcher's family. Its sad when a young woman can get abducted on a college campus and no campus police are around to save this lady. What the media has not released is that the suspect abducted a lawyer on Beale Street (The economic Hub for Memphis) in the year 2000 and drove him around in the trunk of his car for hours. The suspect should have never been given early release from prison. The state of TN owes an explonation to this lady's family. This is a sad sad day for not only Memphis but the entire Country. These people really think they have the right to take lives for their gain.Im SMH at this horrible act.People can be so wicked. We need to turn back to God whatever your faith as long as it's positive. I say this because religion is positive in encouraging treating each other right.Living our best.We used to get onto who's region was right or wrong .But I'm sure all can agree that most religions I've hears about in my 53 years all speak of kindness to each other. So this is why I long ago just stopped judging. I was and still am Baptist but have learned about the other denominations of Christians.I believe the God that made us all wouldn't stop with just one religion or way to honor him.just my opinion. He gives us this also so don't come for me for my opinion please.God Bless all who read this.

It’s sad that it’s gotten to the point that ALL women should HAVE to carry a firearm on them AT ALL TIMES! I recommend women carry if they are able. It’s a sad reality that we as women are living in! My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends ❤️ ❤️

Imagine how much better the city would be if all crimes, kidnappings, and murders were investigated which this much vigor. BTW a young black female was found dead in the street last night.

This " Chief of Police " should first start out with apologizing to all the Citizens of Tennessee, for the leftist leadership that permits violent criminals to run the streets and protecting these criminals because they are of the ' protected group ' ! Further apologize for knowing this , and enplane that many many other criminals are running these very same streets today in every large city in America and that the violence will get worse as long as democrats control the levers of power and continue to look away from the truth !

Horrible horrible horrible. Memphis deserves so much better. I hope because of so many murders in the city will crack down heavily and bravely on deeply disturbed people that are allowed to walk our streets.

What is the prob with these guys that they are all up there patting each other on the back every time a tragedy unfolds???? How much the public paying for the photo op and y’all standing doing nothing? Most of what they said 90 % was how great they all are. Also local PD couldn’t do this without the help of this many other agencies ?

Ladies, please guard yourselves. You are not a free for all. We must be armed, skilled, trained against vicious attacks. Don't run alone. Run with someone you know. Don't go anywhere these days unarmed. Let's change the story to the attacker got what he deserved.
