I really like the cinematography of Jost Vacano (Das boot, robocop, soldier of orange) and actually this has some of his best work IMO. perfectly captured 90's Vegas

She has an incredibly good and healthy attitude about the whole experience. It's a shame her career didn't go a whole lot better vs. some of the more entitled, ungrateful actresses. From what I remember about the movie, it probably took a lot of prep work for the role and to have critics (most of whom have never had the guts to do anything really creative) delight in slamming it would have been rough.

Unfair how slammed this movie has been over the years. The documentary You Don’t Nomi is a good readjustment for the discourse around Showgirls.

I honestly think she's amazing in the film, I can't think of anyone who would do a better job then her in Showgirls.

Child actors always want to be set free from the roles they they are known for. Showgirls is and will always be a cult classic. (And she as in First Wives Club it's not the size of the role but the execution of the character being played.) 👍😌 Thank you for taking risk for the craft of acting!

At least she made a big movie after the sitcom, unlike 99.9% of sitcom actors.

She's excellent in a supporting role in an odd little movie called "Roger Dodger," one of Jesse Eisenberg's first movies.

There is nothing wrong with the film. Unfortunately it was WAY ahead of its time, as well as being so perfect of its time at the same time. It's a shame the American attitude towards S3X always wrecks these perfect masterpieces of "American" cinema at its fullest. It's literally Singing in the Rain of the modern era. And then look at what happened to DANCE movies AFTER that!!!! Just because this one happened to be more ADULT, perhaps European in style, since the director comes from that background of the freer minded European attitude for s3x, the film is American through and through, and it has gained more respect and platitudes NOW than ever, because it's such an iconic thing to have done it at THAT time. All the dance trends that came after on TV with the reality shows and all the kids dance movies should thank Showgirls for starting it off.

The only movie I ever walked out of, which, to be fair, was only because I'd come to the theatre with someone else, and they'd walked out of it, which mean I wouldn't have a ride home if I didn't go too.
