Elkmont Campground Tour and Review

In this video I take you along with me as I visit The Elkmont Campground in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I’ll share with you how I spent my weekend here and give you some information about the campground itself and what I thought of my experience here. Hopefully you’ll find it as relaxing as I did.

PS I believe that structure was used back in the day for sending smoke singles to loved ones!!!

Yes, they have done a wonderful job refurbishing it. Definitely worth a visit.

In main part is still there. The other buildings in the woods have been taken down. All of the hotel is long gone. Of course the rail road been gone for years. I live very close to elkmont. I crawl all over it and cades cove every summer.

Camp store went down hill big time since the old man sold it they jacked prices up got rid of some stuff he ran a better family store
