I was intrigued, but went with the Stan Onnex when i was choosing. All and more adjustability, fit my hand well, AND you dont have to buy every single attachment individually.. stan comes with everything. Working at a machine shop and loving the contour button, i bought one and modified it to fit on the Stan Onnex, and absolutely LOVE the release!

I've had one for about 2 months now. Yes it for sure adds about 1/2" to your draw, I stuck with my draw length, and adjusted my anchor point. Never moved my peep or anything else. What I loved right away was how crisp the break is, and the travel adjustment let me set it to where I'm forced to pull through my shot. Its not cheap, but worth every cent IMO.

I wish they would release a short neck version because no one wants to give up draw length to make a release work. I returned it because of that one reason, and a shorter d loop isn't the answer because you put torque on the string which affects accuracy. Could you get use to a different anchor, yes, but it has a domino effect on your setup, and I'm sticking with a Carter release

I have a carter wise choice 2 finger that I have used for years, but I am buying a new bow this year and going with this or the stan. I like the features of the Stan, but this one is calling my name for some reason. New bow, perfect time to adjust to a long neck release. It's all about the thumb for me and how that seats.

Your review is spot on! I love the release and I did see a difference in my draw length. I am a 27" draw length and feel a little stretched out with the UV releases. I pick it up when it first came out last fall. Worked with on a string trainer in my off time then after deer season end I started working with it with the bow. Draw length had to be adjusted from 28 to 27 inches and peep site and to be moved as well. Anyone thinking about switching should factor these things i, but the release is amazing and has become second nature in my hand. Keep it up elk shape great video!!

I picked up the button about 2 months ago before Oklahoma TAC. I was previously using the Nock-2-It, and caught myself getting lazy the more i shot with my 2nd and 3rd finger on the release (3rd finger only has half a shelf to rest on on that release), which i learned caused me to shoot different towards the end of every shooting session. After playing with a buddy of mines UV button, I made the switch and have been a huge fan of the change. More ergonomic for my hand size, and I’m more consistent with the full 3 finger grip!

I was shooting a Carter Insatiable so my DL didn't change. I did the stainless. I am still playing with the barrel a bit but really like the release. I shot day two at tac in OK with no adjustments (Picked it up at the Lancaster booth there) UV had already run out of inventory. I shot very well with it with very little prep. I have been a Carter guy for 20+ years. I have no complaints about this release, actually only one FWIW. I did notice my loop is wearing much more quickly with this release. Haven't had time to look at what may be causing it, but I noticed last night the loop wasn't in great shape way more quickly than I have seen.

Just a warning this is a long comment so I apologize in advance. I just received this release yesterday. I have always shot with a wrist strap trigger release aid although I don’t feel I’ve developed any target panic I do tend to punch the trigger after about twenty shots. Not really sure if that qualifies as panic because I’m not panicking when I do it. I purchased the true ball x/tension R/T and really like the concept of having a trigger style back tension release. Pros of it were I didn’t need to adjust my draw length or change my anchor point and it did create a surprise break. The only con I have with it was an inconsistent break. I had adjusted it to about 2.5 on the dial which got me to about 4 lbs over holding weight so right about 19lbs for a break. After shooting it for a bit it seemed like I had to pull more to get it to break to the point I’d be pushing my riser and maxing out the movement in my back and having to pull my elbow back to finish the shot. I put it on a hand held scale and checked it and I was getting up to 25lbs before it broke. I adjusted it back down but after a bit it would be doing the same thing, checked it again and was getting breaks at 23-24 lbs. needless to say I went back to my trigger release. I decided to order the ultra view thumb button and paired it with a T.R.U. Ball V-lock and replacement strap. Practiced for about three hours with a shot trainer and I’m extremely happy with it. I have yet to use it with my Bow but I may be trying that today. I will most likely have to shorten my draw length and probably adjust me peep for this but I feel after just practicing it will be worth it.

I shot the stainless version at my local shop and was very impressed with it. The only thing I didn't like was the size, the one the shop had was a medium and made my fingers feel crammed together. I know they have a large version as well, but would have to try it out before buying. On that note, I did order 2 of the uv barrels to replace the one that was on my carter wise choice and the one on my knock 2it releases. Can't tell you how much more comfortable those releases are with that larger thumb barrel to me.

I'll add to a few others. There is a widespread misconception about draw length as it relates to release neck length. No release changes the DL of the bow. If anyone tells you to adjust the DL of the bow to accommodate a short/long release length neck, you should question their advice. Total draw length has two components, often referred to as front and back. The front is the DL of the bow itself. This determines where the string aligns with your face. Regardless of release this should never change. The second component is the back side of the DL. It is controlled by two factors for the most part: release neck length and d-loop length. For releases that are a longer neck, the simple and 2 minute adjustment is to shorten your dloop a bit. Anchors can and will change with different releases simply because they can alter how your hand is shaped, but they don't affect your DL. The back side DL is what determines your elbow position, draw arm alignment with arrow, and draw shoulder position. It is a critical component, that 98% of archers don't realize is an adjustable thing.

I don't disagree with you, but with the uv button I could hardly reach the back of my ear. Like 2 millimeters more and I would no longer be able to have any point of contact with my head, let along the side of my face. I switch to any other release, and my knuckles are in front of my ear not behind. I made my d loop as small as possible and it was still a tad longer than I wanted it to be. For that reason I can't shoot the button. I absolutely love it, but it's too long for my personal preference.

used a couple Stans Perfex releases for years... they are awesome, but I didn't not like the mirror polished finish or the rounded edges both had me death gripping when my hand got sweaty or really cold. absolutely love the UV finish and shape, so much easier for me to hold it in the hook of my fingers. zero effect of draw length (front half is DL) but your anchor or back half will change. easy anchor tweak for me. I just shortened my d loop a hair to compensate (wasn't much going from a Stan long neck)

I was considering this but decided on the Stan Onnex. I really like how the Onnex comes with everything. THe Ultraview is sleek, but that price point ... plus the cost of every accessory/upgrade makes this release close to $400 . Another big plus for the Onnex is that the model is the same for the button, back tension, and hinge style. So you can get the same release set up for is style which makes cross-training more streamline. I think the ultraview would be a better buy once they include the accessories

They design it to be an exact pair to their hinge and hinge 2 models. Only thing that's extra is the heavier materials (same as Stan) and if you want to add the hunting bracket, or change it out to a 4 finger. Does Stan include a 4 finger option for free?

I'll pay top dollar for a release because in my opinion, it's the most important component you can buy for a bow as it's a safety issue if faulty. That said, I didn't expect it to be much better than other releases out there. I stand corrected. It's worth every penny. Draw without any worry of misfire and once you're ready to shoot, you'll find the smoothest, most satisfying mechanism you can imagine. The only thing is get a medium even if you're a big guy. I don't really see any advantage over the Carter Too Simple, to be honest. The Too Simple has travel adjustment and force adjustments that you lock in with set screws. It also has good barrel adjustability. So unless you really like the ergonomics that much better, there is no difference. The Too Simple also has that shorter neck, meaning you don't have to decrease your draw length to keep your anchor. I even thought about trying out the Stan Onnex, but it too has a longer neck. If you are just starting out, these releases with the longer neck are probably just fine, but if you are dialed in with a different release, your setup is likely to change to try out these newer ones.

I bought the Hinge 2 first, bad mistake as I'm still a really new archer but love the quality and when I'm able I'm sure I'll love it also but once the button came out.... game changer. I love the look, it feels fantastic, the adjustability is superb and of course the quality is top teir. The first button I had was the B3 Exit Pro. Good button but lacked features. I opted for the stainless version and really like the weight in my hand. I'm definitely a fan of the UV button and the price to me is quite frankly irrelevant. A lot of us guys, myself included, are spending north of 2k on just a bare bow these days so I don't get all the negativity towards the cost when it benefits the whole system. I see those people as the kind that spend 1 or 2k on sick decked out hunting rifle and then cheap out on the glass. At the end of the day I'm a fan of what UV is doing and stoked to see what a V2 will bring.

I love the adjustable trigger. I ran it all fall and was really impressed with the feel. My draw length was definitely off alittle. I normally shoot 27” draw but had to shorten it by having a smaller d-loop. So I’m about 26.75 to maybe 26 7/8” draw. Otherwise, I also run the Hinge 2.0 and it’s literally the same as the Button. So getting switching between them isn’t an issue. Only real problems I would say is price and a longer neck for draw length considering inwas shooting a Nock-2it before other than that it’s great.

Mathew's need's to offer rotating mods to adjust draw length period! Too many other manufacturers' offer precise draw length adjustment on rotating mods so you can easily switch from a thumb to index release and vice versa. I was also butt hurt when I had to buy 2 different mods from mathew's to switch releases... As I grew as an archer I moved away from mathew's for this exact reason. I like to switch releases between target and hunting and like being able to micro adjust my draw length instead of messing around with d loop length to get my precise draw length. I will note mathew's bows run 3/8" long and they only offer 1/2" draw adjustment mods. Mathew's owners are like ford/chevy owners and will buy something because they are brand loyal(or are sponsored by mathew's) while i prefer the best bow for the money and have no brand loyalty. Many bow manufacturer's offer a better bow package than mathew's for 2023. As much as I like my mathew's traverse(and yes I have shot the v3x 29/33 and the phase 4 33) I wont buy another one until 1) they dump zebra and put decent strings on their bow with the twist everyone else uses(as I have a lot of helical arrows setup for about every bow but mathew's as the main string on mathew's is twisted the opposite way) 2) offer rotating mod draw adjustments and 3) although not a big deal but I prefer bows that offer allen wrench tuning options aka elite/bowtech as buying tophats and pressing my bow was a pita vs using an allen wrench to adjust the cam over or basically "yoke tuning" with an elite bow's SET setup.

If you're a hunter, just get a wiseguy and don't bother with these silly releases.
