Justin is the man. Heard him on your pod years ago. Randomly met him when he worked at Sportsman’s Warehouse. Saw him working with Dirk on a mouth tab setup at his own shop. I started taking my bow to him at that shop. Now I travel from Orofino to Spokane Valley for him to work on my stuff. Hopefully he doesn’t move to Antarctica or I’ll be taking my bow there. I trust him inherently.

Not enough bow to replace my V3X. I mean it is a great bow. However, not being sponsored I have to stick with a bow I know really well and works perfectly. In the future I plan to get a new bow but the lift just does not sell me on the upgrades. I just shot the lift at my pro shop. Though nice, I personally did not notice enough change.

I think you’re making the right choice. Nothing absolutely mind blowing with the vxr, v3, v3x, or the phase 4. But this bow is incredible to hold and shoot. Definitely will be a good time to upgrade! I got to shoot one yesterday and mine should be in Monday!

Great video, I'm sure that Justin and you are aware of this but just for your viewer's sake I want to point out a fatal flaw that I see quite often. The entirety of the tuning process was done without the peep sight installed. Peep sights certainly change the nocking point height as you're spreading the string. Timing can become an issue as well. As shown, there was a piece of loop material that was hollowed out to make an adjustment in the cable, great tip and I do this as well. To think that the giant peep spreading the string won't have a similar effect is something that needs to be pointed out if people are going to follow this for their own setup process. Peep should be in the bow before nock height, timing, and paper tuning. It does affect it.

I watched people shooting the LIFT at an archery shop. There was a guy shooting a Phase 4 near them. The Phase 4 sure sounded more quiet than the LIFT did. The LIFT they were shooting was all decked out with a stabilizer, etc. ( I think it was the factory demo setup sent to the dealer, fully equipped). The Phase 4 was equipped similar and it was easily more quiet. Also, the guy shooting the LIFT said the draw cycle was very heavy at the front end of the cycle. Very interesting! I have not shot one, just sharing what I have seen so far. My dealer said all of the LIFTs so far have come in really heavy in terms of draw weight. With a 70# mod they are drawing close to 75 lbs, etc. Another interesting point.

Ah, actually I was being sarcastic. 7 FPS on 330 FPS is 2% change in velocity. For such a minuscule change in velocity on a percentage basis it is not the velocity that is making the LIFT louder, it is just a louder platform than the Phase 4. Maybe next time you use some common sense and don't be such a dick with your ignorant comments. @@mikestackz854

Good setup video! Question: Are you having to run your cock vane orientation slightly canted to the 1 o'clock position in order to clear the cable guard? In the V3X/P4 versions that was necessary when using a high profile vane over .50" tall like a Blazer, AAE Hybrid HP, etc. Thanks!

This may sound counter intuitive to some... but a touch nock high is often as good or better than 0 out and especially better than nock low. More consistent direction of travel in the arrow allowing for some minor variables. But like this tech said its very very slight!

It's just kind of pushed through I think and then maybe tied. I'm not at home right now or I'd look but I think it's just tied off on the other side or maybe served but wouldn't that save on weight and stuff or am I missing something?

@Muskiehunter92
@Muskiehunter92 9 ай бұрын
Nothing it seems. Its not really necessary. Ive never used it. I've always just used 18-20 thou powergrip on nock points and bcy 23 d loop. Its slimmer d loop material than the 24 but has a coating making it more durable. Its ends dont burn as well as the 24, but with practice you can get them burned down fine. Dont use the 23 if you have front closing release calipers though. Theres many many ways and methods to set up a bow. Everyone has their own nuances. No single person does it the "correct way" as there are many correct ways.

I’m glad I went with a phase 4 now I bet that shot sense technology runs that price up The new target bows are getting close to 2000 Anyway I don’t want all that information getting to my head I can tell what I’m doing wrong without spending money on the technology
