As a 64 year old, I really appreciate the that you style outfits on your mom. I especially liked the first outfit with the yellow jacket over the black basics. I also really liked your yellow sweater dress with the grey wrap. I don’t have anything yellow in my very neutral wardrobe, but I’m now going to try adding it…maybe I’ll start with a scarf. 😊

I‘m 73 and I have long blond hair but I‘m wearing my hair in a nice up do. It makes me look younger and slimmer. I like wearing dark basics like dark brown, dark blue and black as an under layer and wearing blazers, cardigans and longer open blouses in brighter or also dark colours as upper layer. I love a knit dress, it’s my favorite thing to wear, except in hot summer weather. They are so simple, just one-and-done, and so comfortable, that I wear them at home. To go out, I add tall boots, accessories and a jacket or coat, depending on the weather. The only problem is that they’re difficult to find in all-natural fibers (or rayon/viscose/tencel, which I also like because it’s breathable, but I’ve found a few in cotton or cashmere the last few years. Knit dresses are a wardrobe staple of mine, I don’t wear trousers much and hate jeans. For those who can tolerate 20%synthetic fibers (my limit) or more, Amazon, Old Navy and H&M usually have good ones at affordable prices.

@@reginaschwartz4524 - that’s because I feel very strongly about sneakers and the like . I visited a large hospital yesterday and noted that every person I encountered bar one , was wearing some form of training shoe and it makes me inwardly cringe because I know how unhealthy their feet will be as a result of being encased in training shoes day after day and how badly those sneakers will smell . People get used to the feel of that sloppy , no support shoe and as a result when they do decide to wear real shoes, they struggle with the supportive properties . There are comfortable and stylish shoes out there - trainers are bad for your feet , your posture , your overall health . Why wear something that is so bad for you ? If you must wear trainers, at least wear something like the Adidas Gazelle which is slightly less offensive ?
