I’m not sure I completely understand your question. You could try closing the app: slide halfway up the screen until the apps look like a bunch of cards and then flick the app up and away. This closes the app and you can try reopening the app to see if it’s fixed. The other option is to delete the app and reinstall it.

Open the Folder where your notes reside. Tap on the three dots in the upper right corner. Choose Sort by and then choose how you want the notes sorted. Hope that helps. The default setting is by Date edited.
