While this is a great video for understanding which size to pick, I think there needs to be some actual tutorials on the patterns. I spent several hours altering the Be dreamy dress bodice to fit my F cup! I first made a tissue paper copy of the printed pattern. (This way I do not to have to print original and tape again to see original pattern!). Then, I drew the standard lines on the tissue paper pattern for the FBA. (I searched for FBA on knit t-shirt.) But because the bodice was very short, it was hard to determine how long to make the bodice. (Is there a standard bust Apex on your patterns??) So I cut a knit "lining" material and placed on me with first alteration. I asked my mother to help me determine problems - which was altering the arm hole, lengthening the bodice, adding a dart under the arm and making sure my front skirt piece matched my new bodice. It was HARD. I ended up making 2 "muslins" or mock up bodices with alterations before trying the real dress. While I understand it's hard to make a pattern fit everyone - it would be nice to see some more tutorials on altering actual patterns for an FBA or larger tummy OR even a plus size sew along to give tips on fitting and altering the patterns. And While it can be time consuming to make it fit -- I now have a dress that fits well and I can make several times in the future with the RIGHT fit.

Basically a brick with boobs is how I am shaped. Altering patterns is such a chore. Menopause swimsuit sizing would be great!

for the example at 7:30, did she mean the base size will stay the same and be "extra small" and not "small" since 1.5 < 2. Or the base size is the small which is the full bust size?

Hi Ellie. Thanks for the video. I'm not new to sewing but i am new to dressmaking. i have bought a couple of your patterns and i am really struggling with the FBA. From watching this video and previous ones i think i am beginning to understand so please correct me if i'm wrong. i take my high bust measurement as my base size, deduct that from my full bust which gives me a 6 inch difference ( yes i have VERY big boobs lol ) which is higher than 2 so i need to do a fba for 4 inches divided by 2 which makes a 2 inch fba! Is that correct? I really appreciate all the help i can get. Thank you

Hello!! You will actually take the 6 inches and divide that by 2 (one for the left and one for the right) so 3 inches per side and then because we are using a knit fabric with at least 50% stretch we can divide that by 2 again, so 1.5 per side should be your FBA amount. Does that help?

What happens if your bust, waist and hips are all different. I have big boobs and a big belly :-O I am too scared to make any pattern because I have no clue what I am doing size wise. On the plus size I am having fun collecting the pattens :-D
