I used to have a moving company and I noticed about 30% of the time people were breaking up. In the hundreds of moves I did it was always the women leaving the men with only two exceptions that I can remember. Remember this, men feel incomplete without women however, women feel incomplete without having a baby. They can get their biological fix by having a baby and leave the husband, break the family and have a financial support mechanism for 20 years or more. This is why I never had kids. I have several buddies who lived in abject poverty while paying child support.

I experienced this first hand myself. Thankfully my state is a no alimony state. A lady I've know since we were both preschool divorced her "third" husband while they lived in an alimony state. She bragged that she got $50k per year for twenty years, and demanded that he carry a life insurance policy solely to ensure she gets her money. And yes, she initiated the divorce.

Secondly, you can advocate, but until someone in a state legislature or the U.S. Congress votes for it, it means little to nothing. Lastly, no male politician is going to say this, because over 50% of the registered voters are women....it would be political suicide. I especially don't disagree about the hypocrisy of the feminists, but they are OK with their hypocrisy because it benefits them. Example: Women say they want things to be equal, yet they have been excluded from Selective Service registration for decades based on their sex alone. The silence is deafening on this. How men petitions have you seen to try to overturn this? How many protest marches have you see over this issue? You haven't.....because it wouldn't benefit them. It allows for the state to step in and be dad. It allows for irresponsible behavior and more single parent families which has a wide, broad variety of of problems associated with it. Yes I am a woman. I was raised in a home with a working father and mother. My mother told me that someday I would have a husband and I would have to work and help him. She also told me that when I had children that they needed to have only one father and they need the father because children without a father don't turn out right. My mother is the definition of a strong independent woman. My mother and father were together until they died. I've done everything she said and my life is better for it.

When you're a child you should know nothing about your dad paying or not paying child support. If your mother made this your business when you were a kid, it was a game to try to make you hate your dad. That's adult business that should've been kept amongst adults. Outside of that, your individual story is not a reflection of the whole of reality. The majority of divorces initiated by women are initiated because of finances and irreconcilable differences, abuse is only a small amount of the majority of divorces. Btw, if you're an adult now, you should look your father up and get his side of the story. He's certainly wrong for abusing your mother, but as to why he wasn't in your life, there might be another reason. I know of countless men who won't pay child support because mom and the family/divorce courts won't allow them in their children's life.

I've said it,and I'll say it once again. Feminism isn't about "getting even","taking revenge","wanting men disappear",and all yhese kind of stuff. It is not even treating both sexes the same. Is treating them EQUALLY. I strongly believe that women should learn what feminism is before everything;it will give them knowledge of what they are talking about and the strength to have arguments in a debate/dispute.

I decided to divorce not for any nonsense reason but because he cheated on me time and time again and thought that I would never leave him but yes again because this year I filed for divorce and I'm not turning back in my decision. I'm from a generation that thought that doing everything you could to keep the marriage together was valid but this individual took me for granted and decided that he would play the eternal single man who wanted marriage benefits.

Same here. Took the kids and doesn't allow me to see them. The courts don't care. On disability, bad heart, dead kidneys, dialysis every other day, no money to fight her in court. A lot of women stay home with the children and support her husband while sacrificing our own careers creating a large gap in employment, killing our reentry into the career field. Without the support and assistance in the partnership men wouldn't have been able to make that career advancement while simotanesly killing our own. That's why alimony is a factor

I struggle with the fact that the education system has failed so many people by letting them know that just saying statistics doesn't give your argument validation but understanding the statistic does. They said that 80% of woman leave their men... why are they leaving? Because they're treated like shit and they should be allowed to leave and the fact that these men believe in the entrapment of women tells us everything we need to know. Then the fact that they mention the alimony without understanding why it is in place is baffling. And then again 73% of the men in prison raised by single mothers... and u believe it's not because of the absence of the fathers and the fact that the fathers treat the mothers and the children badly? @@8Maduce50 oh God no I'm saying that there are some exceptions to the rule. My husband and I decided when I was pregnant with my daughter that I would stay home with her while he would be the main breadwinner considering he made more money and I was breastfeeding so and our particular circumstance it is definitely the exception to the rule. I wouldn't mind being the one who goes and works and is the main breadwinner if that's what he would want but he is one of those hard-working men who's been with his company for a long time so he makes a good income and I refuse to go to work outside of the home just to pay for someone else to watch my daughter when I know that no one is going to watch her better than I am but I also work from home while she's in school doing freelance jobs that I can set to my schedule. I don't think we'll ever break up but if it ever happened it wouldn't be because I'm the one who left and if for some insane reason I did I would not seek out alimony I would only require child support because his work takes up so much of the day and sends him out of town so he wouldn't be able to be the primary caregiver for her. and don't get me wrong I agree that most women out there are just gold diggers in fact almost every woman I know is and it's absolutely disgusting

And yet the small amount of single dads raise their kids while working full time just fine, it's called a baby sitter. And most the houses I've been into where mom doesn't work it not because dad doesn't want her to, it's because she doesn't want to and she doesn't give dad a choice in the matter. You're also assuming that most stay at home moms are being productive and taking care of the homes while dad is away on work, so he has little to stress about when he gets home. I don't know if there's statistics on it, but I've heard and seen more men than not complain about their stay at home wives doing nothing but spending their cash and gaining weight. Not taking care of the kids and house at all. You're asking the law to assume the stay at home mom is helping out and supporting the husband when sometimes it's true, and sometimes it's not. It's really an unwise thing to put into law. Further you're asking for a reward for things you were supposed to do anyways, that's pretty selfish. That's one of those things that shouldn't exist in law, because there's no way to prove pr disprove the stay at home wife was a help or a hindrance. 🤔 Also without the sacrifice of the husband going out and working, mom wouldn't have been able to stay home. It seems like a very fair trade off.

Most men are good. A few distinctional men do not cause a 80% divorce rate. What if the woman never wanted to be a part of a functional marriage, had other love interests, or had no desire to stay married? Marriage is a 2 parts system, both have to be in it for better or worse. Unless it’s an extreme safety or life threatening situation. Today, by a small margin, more women commit adultery than men.

That’s the issue with this narrative that women initiate divorce and therefore women are the problem as opposed to addressing the real multiple reasons why this is happening . I’m waiting for an honest conversation to be had about this matter that covers all of the variables.

I wont be in a serious long term relationship with a single mom. It brings a lot of complexities. I don't want to put myself in a position that I'm going to lose just by adding a relationship status in my life.
