I remember meeting this one dude named Lance about 10 years back who really seemed to be happily married. At the time, I remember asking him several questions about it. I took more of an interest than I normally would in that kind of thing for some reason. It's only recently that I realized why. He was literally the first American man I had ever met who was married for more than a decade and happy about it...

38 here too. The mens never told me how bad their marriage is. But often ask the question why you’re not married? And now begs the question, why ask that? Thats simply because why even get married, in the first place? Marriage does not benefit the men. And not at all. Therefore, if guys want to dive into their own grave. Well good luck!

Hafeez, you are using the exception to the rule argument. Sure, some marriages will end up happily ever after, but with a 50% divorce rate for 1st marriages, and of the other 50% 47% end up miserable then it is basically a 3% success rate. CGA gets the W here
@JADiaz10

I am a 76 year old Vietnam Veteran, in my second marriage of 45 years , soon to be 46 years, the 26th of this month. I will turn 77 years old, next month. I was married the first time at age 22 years old to a woman who had a two year old son, I was the only daddy He knew. I didn’t have any children at that time. That marriage lasted 5 years. My first wife started having an affair with a guy on a Her job and started putting me off sexually. I was faithful the first 3 years of my marriage. However, when I confronted my ex-wife , she ignored me. In retaliation, I started having affairs with other women as my pride was hurt. I know I was wrong as two wrongs don’t make a right and I didn’t want another man to raise my kids. However, it was nothing I could do. I have daughters age 54 years old, 37 years old, a son 34 years old and grown grandchildren as well. I am a Christian, but I was back sliding then. I have had love affairs in and out of marriage as I was out in the streets and I am not going to lie and say, I regretted having those affairs. When I was single, I didn’t like rotating women, it was a lot of work. There was nothing wrong with the women I hung out with, I just didn’t want to marry them. Perhaps, they didn’t want to marry me. Back to the point on my ex-wife: we had purchased two homes in marriage. My wife came home at 5:00 am in the morning one weekend, I told her it doesn’t take her all night, to give away leg and if she does it again, don’t come home. Well, That next weekend, she did it again. I changed the locks on the house, she was gone. My ex wife had somewhere to go with the kids. She knew what she was doing, she didn’t want to be married to me anymore but she didn’t know how to tell me so. I filed for divorce as the marriage was too toxic. The judge awarded me the house as my separate property and I had to pay all the community property bills. As a result, I almost had a nervous breakdown. I use to work 12 hours a day and volunteer to work weekends, to keep the house out of foreclosure. I was able in time to get a male roommate who was divorcing his wife. The judge awarded my ex-wife our new 1973 Ford Pinto we had just Purchased as a result of new her job. I had an 1967 Chevy SS Impala at that time on its last leg. My ex-wife didn’t want ahouse, she was attractive , had a nice body and wanted to party. She was 18th years old and really, too young to marry me. However, she did marry me and on her own free will . She was not pregnant when we got married. I was too young too, but I gave marriage my best shot. One would be a fool, to get married to get divorced. Moving on, I have visited the Coaches platform and Some of what He says is true. However, He is too the extreme. I would never advise young men or young women to never get married. It’s a personal choice. I would do it again, I don’t have the gift of being single. I believe in marriage, if it makes sense. I don’t believe in the concept of your money is my money and my money is my money in marriage. I will shout this out, marriage is a partnership, I believe in marriage, a man should have a functional sex life, your wife should be your best friend and companion and the marriage should be as peaceful as possible. Both parties,should watch each other’s backs. If you are a man or woman who can not be true to your partner or like variety of sex partners, don’t get married. Marriage is very, very hard and you have to believe in commitment and the marriage vows. If not , don’t marry. I believe a lot of men marry the wrong type of women, in most cases ,hot women don’t make good wife’s. I am sorry ladies if this offends you. Yes , they can change, but it’s hard when a lot of men Been hitting on them and they have had a variety of men sexually, they can get married and become bored and want and do go back out in the streets. No man or woman wants a boring sex life but things happen. Men in marriage needto stop placing their wife’s, kids and Grandchildren on pedestals. I know you love them, treat with them with respect, protect them as much as much as you can and above all, protect your self. Please set boundaries. Married men should not have all their money tied up in a joint checking account with your wife, as some wife’s and husbands, leave and take all the money. In marriage, husbands and wives, should each have their own money in their separate accounts and there should be a joint checking account to pay household expenses in the marriage. Men need to stop living with women and having kids out of wedlock, not having a lot of kids you are unable to afford. If need be, get a vasectomy, I did. It will not affect your man hood. The young man on the platform,has a good attitude even though, He has not been married that long. Based on what He stated, he has had some good marriage role models in his family. Another thing men, a woman who is not your wife, is not obligated to submit to you, you are not obligated to submit to her. The Bible says they both should submit to each other in marriage. It’s not good for men to be paying for women’s bills they are not married to. I know if you have a girlfriend, in a committed relationship, sometimes the man may need to help out. It’s not good for a man with a high maintenance woman who constantly needs or expects financial help, even if the sex is good. I know I sound lame, but the Bible says sex is for married people. I didn’t say it, the Bible says so. I am aware, there are always going to be weak men in life constantly paying and giving some of their money to women and some of these women, don’t like them and play them and weak men, at times you give these women and a lot of them are bad women, power over you. I also know, all men want to be desirable, including myself. But, please keep it in perspective. As I close and I tired of typing, men: there will always be another man out there that looks better than you, more romantic than you, better in bed than you, all you can do is be the best man in your relationship you can be and protect your self at all cost. Set boundaries. Women as well, it always going to be another woman out there that is more sexy than you that will appeal to your husband/ man. All you can do is be the best woman in your man’s life, you can. If either of you wants to play around, you better count the cost. Again folks, I believe in marriage, commitment, all marriages don’t fail. However, in this day and time, marriage can be very dangerous. If parties have substantial assets prior to marriage, men and women, should get a prenuptial agreement. It’s really probably not good for a man to mess around sexually with a lot of women outside of marriage. Guys, if you get a woman pregnant, you will have to support that child for a minimum of 18 years, you could just been having casual sex and got the woman pregnant. You could get VD or hook with a mentally unstable female that you keep hanging around with, because the sex is good, whatever the reason and I have done it, please be aware,Men, just check out paternity court and Divorce Court. Yes, I am aware that some relationships Just don’t work. If I was a younger man and wanted a girlfriend/marriage partner, I would be very careful who I dated and whom I would choose to marry. It saddens me when I hear about some men in sexless marriages or a man’s wife after child birth of their child, the wife doesn’t want to have sex anymore. This applies to men who do all the right things in their marriage. It’s unfair and we all know it would be wrong if a man would stop paying bills , if his wife stop having sex with him. The family would probably be homeless in the near future. Ladies, men need sex, please don’t abuse that. However, it’s sad, some of you women will. This is the situation some men face: the marriage vows one takes in marriage say: to death do you part or better or worse: case in point, your wife stop having sex with you, there are kids involved, assets are involved, you can go out on your wife to get your sexual needs met, get a side check or get a divorce. In most cases, you will have to sell or the wife and kids will have to stay in the house and of course, you will have to pay child support for your kids, which you should. In some cases your ex wife, will move another man in the house you or both sacrificed to buy in your marriage. Personally, I don’t respect a man that will do this. Sometimes, your ex-wife will encourage her new man to do this.This is very sad and not good. In all fairness, some women report that their husbands as well don’t want to have sex with them anymore after marriage. Both parties in the marriage should keep themselves as attractive as possible. Both parties should keep your weight down as much as possible and keep your selves as attractive as possible too. ,

The divorce industry industry needs to be held accountable. In the Nordic countries the marriage and divorce rates are the same as the rest of the world but men have guaranteed access to their children and alimony is fairly distributed. People don't go broke going through a divorce. Fix that and men will come back to the table, IF they're still interested.

If women were expected to assume the same risk as men, I wonder how many would consider marriage? My guess would be less than 10%. When asked why I don’t want to get married my response is a simple one. If I agree to get married, will you assume the financial risk if it fails? How many takers do you think I get?

💥💥 I just watched the documentary about this woman who hired a hitman to kill her husband so she can collect the life insurance, lucky for him his friend over her the conversation and informed him and the husband informed the police and the police and husband staged his death and they had his wife on camera laughing after they showed her the pictures of him being fake dead. She ended up getting like 20 years of prison. I don't see why anybody would want to get married when you have risks like that I would just not deal with that type of BS. There is exactly no benefit to a man getting married in today's age, women hold all the cards in everything. That's her house she's deciding what the kitchen look like she's going to decide what the bedroom look like she's going to decide what type of wall paper and cabinet you put in the bathroom etc She's going to decide what to buy during holidays heck she's going to decide if you celebrate Christmas you may be a guy who like myself is not even into celebrating holidays but I'm forced to celebrate it because she wants to celebrate it. Y'all go to the movies you mostly going to go and see what she wants to see. The man spends far more money in the relationship than the women does like I just don't see the benefit of marriage for men. And also when you get married you have less sex than a guy that's single because your wife dictates when she wants to have sex. Then there's the financial stability like me I'm a single man, I work two jobs all of my money from both of my jobs go to me and to me only. I don't have a wife I got to spend all my money on and I don't have kids that I got to spend all my money on. I'm sorry but I just don't see the benefit of a man in today's age getting married it makes no sense to me.

@@kristenmoonrise first of all i don't know what you're trying to say with that comment. I myself at the age of 15 didn't want kids or marriage. I recognized at an early age that that was a life i wanted. I'm one of the few smart ones. All the money that i make from both of my jobs goes into my pocket, it doesn't go into some brat lazy gen z kids pocket or some entitled Western wife's pocket. it goes into my pocket. I buy what i want to buy, when i want to buy it. Imagine a man getting married in today's era, where he constantly has the worry about government and divorce court over his head. And a wife that he has to cater to 365 days a year. Also like Coach G says and you can look this up. 80% of divorces in the United States are initiated by the wife. Marriage is a scam and I'm so glad more and more men are decided not to get married.

Not everyone wants to marry for the sake of things. I’m getting married to someone because that person appreciates me for me, we both work and succeed and support each other. Listening to those that say men shouldn’t be married, their experience is their situation. Folks have their opinions, you can’t dictate what a person does. I’ve had some men tell me to not get married because of race or just because, they don’t even know what kind of relationship a man has with their woman.

Marriage rates going down and that trend won't change any time soon, and the idea of guys being alone it's true, break ups, divorce anything and apart from being left alone there's also the element that people do tend to screw you over already adding to the whole disaster like a grenade with mini grenades inside of it. So it's definitely something to contemplate with utmost caution but hey some people say unicorns exist maybe... Just maybe... We could all find a unicorn. Bless

There are so many responsibilities, obligations and rules regarding marriage that it outweighs the benefits. I knew firsthand when my Dad started questioning his own relationship with my mom (about 10/2015). He asked a question about why I feel happy and free. I couldn't give him an answer back then but when I finally found that answer he died before I could give that answer.

When someone says "Let's Get Married" they are not saying, let's have a successful relationship or let's have True Love. They are saying Let's go to the court House and execute a legally Binding Contract regarding our financial assets and wealth THEN let's go to a venue and have a celebration party called a Wedding. You are legally combining all assets. That's why you need a CONTRACT.

Marriage without God first as its epicenter will never be marriage but a joke. That's why rejection of God has led to hitting many people's marriages pretty badly. Marriage vows can't be broken by a couple who truly love each other and who truly love God, because a vow to God is a fearsome thing. It just can't be broken once it's made. Forever... (Ecclesiastes 5:4,5 -King James Version: _4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.)
