No way sabers would trade Cozens for Kasper + picks or Veleno + picks. I feel like it was just Todd rotating those 2 centers on top line to get them going and boost confidence. and so far, it's been working flawlessly. Veleno scored vs Ott and Kasper picking up 1G 1A vs Chicago.

So Marco Kasper is contributing to the team already and we also have Nate Danielson and Amadeus Lombardi showing that they can be NHL ready soon. I don't get it. Why would we take a player that's making $7 million a year to do the same thing?

A change of scenery could be good for Cozens, and if it helps us, all the better. I'm not sure who we'd be giving up to make that happen, but it also seems Cozen's stock is somewhat low at this point, so I can't see it being overly expensive.

Buffalo diehard here, so take this with a grain of salt, but the only trade I would be willing to part with Cozens for would be Raymond. Likely not a 1 for 1, but I am not concerned with the sweeteners as we can afford to send prospects and picks. I am just looking at the meat of the trade. This is why I think a trade hasn't happened yet and probably wont.

Ah yes, an assistant GM that is from Detroit goes to Detroit during the holidays it must mean the Sabres want to or is interested in trading Cozens. P.S. why would the Sabres want or need Detroits prospects or picks? We need roster players and not named Copp, Compher, Veleno, Fischer. Most guys with decent cap hits have a trade protection and can easily nix a trade to Buffalo. I'd want a Raymond or Sieder or Larkin. But that won't happen. So don't make a trade with Detroit.

@@jerryslist Exactly! Adams has got to go! The Sabres has way too many talented players to be dealt away to other teams who then later become stars! I am tired of the Sabres being the minor league team for the rest of the NHL and having a proper NHL front office for the Sabres will change that! Bring in a savvy experienced winning GM who actually knows what they are doing! Fk Adams! So tired of this guy and his cringe worthy gas lighting pressers! He got in way over his head and he should be given is walking papers ASAP! Pegula is clueless as well and is the more frustrating part in all of this! He should approach the Sabres the same way he has allowed the Bills to be built. Fire the GM, and allow Lindy to exit gracefully when the season concludes. Then from there bring in an experienced GM and another guy who can be in charge of Hockey operations. These two people also need to be team first and not me first types of executives who can check their egos at the door. This has been a problem for the Sabres front office for quite some time, and its why they have been a dysfunctional group. From there allow objectivity to evaluate this team and hire a new younger coach who can get this team going with the youth movement who buys into the message coaching concepts. Personally I though it was mistake to let go of Grannato but here we are!
