Damn this dude wants a free game that has free loot given immediately and he wants the pretty skins for free too? Spoiled kid much? The thing is, you don't have to play the game at full speed or full commitment. Honestly, I see less fulltime gamers and most people casually game on and off, often with families, healthier IRL relationships and jobs/duties to fulfill. These are also the people that can afford the microtransactions. The grindiness and the timers actually tells me that Nexon is saying "You're not a kid anymore, you're an adult now, so pace yourself and don't burn yourself out. Get out, talk to your family, don't go to bed too late you got work tomorrow. See you on the weekend." I'm cool with that.

I run by the 1 hour = $1 rule. I spent $100, I played 146hrs. I say the game did something right. Also is it me or I totally expected ultimates to take 3 months, I see people achieving results in 3 days of focused grind. Damn.

I believe that the issue here on the all the complaints on drop rates is due do you getting to see all of the possible items that can drop for each event or activity. There is also some hidden drops that happend with the mobs that you can not see but for the most part you can see them. All other Looter shooters do not give you a drop rate ever it may tell you you can get certain items from certain activities but never a drops rates. My guess the drop rates are there since Nexon was convicted of deceptive practices by the Koren Gov and charged millions of dallers. This allows some transparance which is not normal for NA games or game companies and something we are not use to seeing.

I like this game but I have some issues with it that are the enemies come at you like a swarm to kill you that makes me quite annoyed and sometimes those amounts of enemies just makes my game crash in multiple ways or make me lag in the game but I hope they make a limit on the enemies attacking you in the game also the server I'm playing at on my PS4 slim needs a bit improvement on being able to handle the enemies level of spawns that are made in it

Shaky start? Player count shows that it is not.They also released a statement, and there is alot to come for this game. It is really free to play for the whole game. No need for buying stuff if you grind. This is a looter shooter, so grinding is the biggest part of these games. One thing that I love is the glossary. That tells you exactly where a material is. I play this game to gather them all. Materials is quite generous. Destiny for example that is p2w. Buy expansion and then buy dungeons keys to be able to play the expansion.

TFD is just like the other big looter shooter live service games that release month one were: Week one server issues, way under cooked, overhyped, buggy, sound design is bad, super grindy, exploiting missions to ease grind, story that is passible but forgettable. All these games have the same issues on launch. Just the ones that fix these issues are the ones who survive.

Saying that no game has a good story and that stories don't matter, and that if you wanted to read a story you would read a book or watch a movie, is a very outdated mindset. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to play, but I learned English because I wanted to understand the game's story, the characters, and what was happening. This shows how important game stories can be. Mate, name a lootershooter with a good story except borderlands 2. Destiny has like 4 good cut scenes every 3 years, I've literally never seen anyone talk about warframe's story, the division is nonsense, anthem was generic slop, borderland 3 story was so bad it almost killed the franchise, etc... This isn't Sony's movie game with occasional gameplay number 345. It's a gameplay focused game and the devs have way better things to do rather than wasting time on a story most players skip anyways

@Tinesh1 1: studios and devs have limited budget and time. Investment made into a better story actively takes away from Investment that could have been made into gameplay. (And yes, I know devs don't write story script. But every $ spent on hiring more and better writers is a $ that could have been spent hiring more and better dev). 2: if so my bad I guess. I thought we were specifically talking about looters. But to be fair my point applies to every game except a handful that specifically market themselves as being story first (think Kojima for example). 3: see point one. Why prioritize what a small minority of players care about at the expense of what basically every player cares about. Also, GOTY (and pretty much every other similar awards across any medium) is mostly irrelevant. It's literally just Jeff keele saying, "Hey I like your game" and by the time a game earns goty the overwhelming majority of its sales are already made. Not to mention that there's only two way to get a goty. Either you dominate the conversation that year so hard that Jeff has no choice but to give it to you, lest he destroys his shows reputation (think eldenring, which didnt have a particularlygood story btw) or you make a mediocre award bait game to please critics in spite of players (think tlou2)

Hi elly just found out on new updates a new decendant being added soon called Glitch she is another elite assassin I bealive this could be another stealth character like sharron however Glitch is an elite sniper expert so far I've descoverd she has red hair weiring a long dust cover hooded coat holding a sniper rifle. It's more like the mechanics in Monster Hunter are more foreign to most people. In TFD, when you first get into the game and maybe you pick Lepic, the shooting mechanic is already familiar to you, right click to aim and left click to shoot, Lepic's grenade is also familiar, throw the thing and it explode, same with many other stuff, so you don't even have to think to play the game. But Monster Hunter, you might not be familiar with its system because it's a niche game or used to be, so you have to constantly think about it and it takes up mental stack.

In defense of the missions, in the end the ultimate goal of the game is to be grindable. If the mission is a long set piece with multiple time consuming objectives, that would be dumb. So some are understandable but others are fucking bullshit. I'm looking at you drone escort mission. But the other stuff? I'm fine with. Deposits, collectible, kill and destroy objectives. All of them are fine so far into the game. edit: especially the one in white night gulch, that drone got me fked up. I still remember trying to do it solo since no one was in vacinity and i still didnt understand the hp/def/shield stats with how they work with the mods and equipments.

A lot of people don’t know what a good game is. There is no consistency with peoples opinions at all. Which is completely fine, but then reviews just become meaningless. I don’t think this game is excellent but def in the 7.5-8 range. So many added points for being one of the few devs who act on constructive criticism. Everything is earn-able, it’s a little clunky, but all in all fun to play. Clearly all things you can tell from the countless hours people have put in. I played Destiny 1 day 1. Same energy is not being kept

I watched this review, and yeah, he does make some good points but there are times he flat out lies about the game. As far as the story, a lot of people say it's bad, but it's like they never bothered to watch the story of any other game in this genre. They are all bad. This story isn't any worse that Destiny or Warframe or Genshin and all its clones. "Humanity hangs in the balance, it's up to you to save us all." There's only so many places you can go with that story. Look at the movies and tv shows, there are mostly rehashed ideas that someone else had in the 70's or earlier.

For most characters it's range from good enough to great. Only character that made me cringe sometimes was Jeremy, but that was on purpose and tbh he made me chuckle occasionally
