I get a weird apple cider vinegar flavor from 1910 and even Woodford double oaked. I make homemade bourbon bbq sauce and the flavor is a lot like the smell of the sauce when it is cooking. Those are my go to bourbons when smoking brisket

I like the 90 proof single barrels and really enjoy the 100 proof "Signature." I LOVE 1920. Old Forester Rye is the best rye under 40 bucks. Birthday Bourbon is wonderful. Presidents choice is phenomenal. King of Kentucky is the best bourbon I've ever tasted. I hope your front bottom feels better now knowing I'm not an OF hater!

Question for matt and the entire adhd whiskey tribe.....has anyone experimented with mini barrels? Im thinking of aging some off the shelf juice and test to see if it improves or not. I have looked into it some, i know the year rating is gonna be shorter due to some math equation that considers contact surface area. Ok im rambling. Love this video matt.

All the Buffalo Trace Products carry a strong cherry note....but if you cannot find them, then MGP bourbons like Belle Meade Cask Strength will have similar characteristics

Yeah I don’t think tasters should put opened bottles up against newly opened bottles bc the newly opened bottles usually have a lot more ethanol taste. When I first opened OF1920 I fn hated it. It was super hot and obliterated my taste buds with alcohol. After two weeks I decided to give it another chance and I am really happy with the results. I find it delicious. 1910 is my favorite among the Whisky Row series bc I am a double Oaked junky. WW dbl Oaked is one of my favorite of all time.
