I have seen Jeff Lynne's ELO in 1978, 2016, 2018 and 2019. Among the 300 concerts i have seen in my life so far i can tell you it's the best live band in the world. I really hope they will tour in 2020.

Music Lover : I agree, I just worry that the cost of touring ELO, must be breathtaking. If you consider the cost of portable stages and the 50+ 18 wheelers @$200 per day, then add buses, planes, hotels, personal fees. Jeff needs the ultimate constitution! We transported a big crane once, from UK to Almeria in Spain. It was 54 truck loads. Finding them was a major event.

drayhazel the cellist in the middle is Jess (Jessica) Cox. The cellist on the left is Amy Langley and the violinist is Jessie Murphy. Jessie joins this year replacing Rosie Langley, Amy's sister. Rosie had a baby .

The drummer is Don Hepburn. The entire band, apart from Jeff, are effectively the Take That live band. The leader is Mike Stevens who was standing to Jeffs right as we look at them. The female backing singer is married to lead guitarist Milton McDonald who was on our far left and out of shot a lot of the time. My opinion, for what its worth, is that they are the best live band around. They are amazing.

This is an amazing group of talented musicians backing Jeff, I would never try to take anything away from that. But, tell me people, can you honestly say it wouldn't have been SO cool, to see Bev Bevan up there on the kit, Richard Tandy on the keys, and even though it's impossible now, Kelly Groucutt (God Rest his soul) on bass, and singing backup with Jeff? No one, and I mean NO one sang backup/harmony better with Jeff than Kelly. Ok...….Rosie Vella was a VERY close second ! lol Too bad Rosie Langley couldn't be part of this performance, but I understand she was on maternity leave at the time. Congratulations ELO, definitely an honor well deserved

First Richard Tandy was extremely sick and possibly will never tour again. Some other Band members are dead and Bev is just an old and irrelevant drummer nowadays. Jeff Lynne's ELO is the best live band in the world right now.

@@MusicLover10538 The fact that Bev Bevan is older now isn't the point. He contributed to some of the greatest work ELO ever produced. Many bands have former members appear on stage during the induction. Chicago had Danny Seraphine play at their induction, and Cheap Trick performed with Bun Carlos who hasn't been in the lineup in years. The crowd was lovin it .

@@classrockin I agree with you but when Jeff Lynne disbanded ELO in 1986 to do other projects, Bev toured with the name ELO and with all Jeff Lynne's songs without his agreement. So there is bad blood between the two. Jeff felt betrayed for good reasons. Too bad they were good friends from 1970 to 1986. Many fans like myself felt cheated when they bought Tickets to see the so-called ELO without Jeff Lynne in the late 80's early 90's. To many fans Jeff Lynne is ELO. Yes, the band members were fun to watch in concerts but at least 3 or 4 of them are in heaven and Richard Tandy is very sick. The actual band members are extremely talented like you said.

Jeff Lynne was the only thing up there that was ELO. No one else was. They may be playing as ELO today but they don't even sound like the original ELO. As far as miking -- you can't even hear the double cellos and violin player. Typical R&R Hall of Fame production. Was the performance good? Yes, it was. But what made ELO special -- that was not there. This was a group of musicians backing Jeff Lynne....that's it. If we wait any longer many classic bands not in the R&R Hall of Fame will not be there to do a thing on stage: Steppenwolf, Procol Harum, Jethro Tull, Chubby Checker (yeah, I said Chubby Checker...he still holds chart records for what he did in his day & he's still standing). There are many rockers not in this "hall" & they are getting older. I don't want to see Procol Harum without Gary Brooker there. I don't want to see Jethro Tull get inducted without Ian Anderson there. Or, Steppenwolf without John Kay. These people who vote in this "hall" better wake up. Rap and hip-hop is not rock and roll. Some of these rock artists are over 70. Mike Smith -- lead singer of The Dave Clark Five died just weeks before their induction. So the DC5 did not perform any of their songs that night. (Can you tell that I'm a little bit pissed?).

its being recorded on a fucking phone you know it all fucking mong , by the way that incantation of elo have been playing together for about 10 and why the hell would they "mic" electric violins/cellos ?? ( and yes they are ) , the cellist on the left and the violinist are sisters and are famous in their own right . The bassist (Lee) and drummer (Don) are ex take that , the guitarists have been playing with jeff since god knows when , they are by far one of the best live bands around , incredible .

I love ELO & The Move with Roy Wood & Bev Bevan, but this is NOT ELO! It’s Jeff Lynne with a bunch of unknowns & his singing is lazy & in a lower key. So sad to see such a great artist & songwriter just ‘going through the motions’ without Roy & Bev, especially when Roy Wood (who started ELO) was there! Roy should’ve been on that stage too & Bev should’ve turned up for such a prestigious award. Very poor show indeed! Why do such artists become a tribute act of themselves? He must just be doing it for the money now, not the passion. Please reform The Move with Roy, Jeff & Bev while you’ve still got some time left. It’s not too late. Please, but stop rehashing diluted cabaret versions when your capable of so much more. Get on that stage Roy, get Bev out of bed & Jeff stop farting about! 💨 💩
