This song was a total hit in the Philippines in 1981. A noon time show Eat Bulaga even held a dance contest with this song where contestants gave their best swing and jive. Dance choreography was based from the movie itself. I was only 6 or 7 years old then but the memory of watching that noontime show playing this ELO's masterpiece lingers forever in my mind.

It is so beautiful seeing the thousands of people holding each other and dancing and singing like this. Firstly, the song is incredible, secondly the band is fantastic and all their music is aesthetic. Playing live creates such a high emotion in people that they are willing to drop their differences and join together in song. There's not one politician or leader I've seen that can create such an effect as aesthetic music. You don't need to force anyone to do anything, just get them to dance and sing and they'll create their own peace. As evidenced here and a zillion other concerts.
