Nice.. Four things I took away : 1. It's important to understand how the world works through education and how to get people together to work on an idea. 2. Preservation of existence and human consciousness is one of the highest ideals. 3. Building a working prototype of your business idea will get more people on board than just having it on PowerPoint or paper. 4. Listen to your gut instinct. He failed three times .. was told by almost everyone he asked not to pursue the space idea.. but he went ahead and did anyway. Failed 3 times and the fourth time.. he did it. Thank you Elon! You said it best in your final words of this video. “MAKE A WORKING PROTOTYPE” I spent several years making a working prototype, until I got it right. People thinking I was nuts to waste so much time making a prototype. It came to a point my wife asked me not to talk about it around her family. Finally completion after four years of failure after failure. I successfully demonstrated the prototype at an Inventors Showcase in Indianapolis last fall. Finally a feeling of closure. And yep, now I have a company, thanks to some great business partners as a result of making a working prototype. (The ultimate thrill of my life, will be to see the product benefiting others the first time in public) Now, my wife tells me how she supported and encouraged me from the very beginning. I predicted MSFT will drop to $15/share after the .com bubble burst. Now I predict that Tesla will drop to $35/share in two months due also to the fact that more progressives will be elected and the Fed chairman will no longer be in the pockets of Wall st that prints unlimited money to fund Stocks like Tesla. What I learnt from this speech 1) we are the magicians of the 21st century. Many of the things we take for granted today eg communicate through phone, access world info through internet, fly in the sky, and so on are magics of the time in the past 2) the purpose of things is to advance knowledge, advance human consciousness so that we can ask better questions to get more enlightened. 3) Elon wasn't that crazy, his initial intention was to increase NASA budget and not started a rocket company. 4) Elon initially thought there wasn't much willpower for humans to become multi-planetary species. After a while, he noticed there was much willpower to achieve that and US is a nation of explorers. 5) sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, not to say some technologies not in the realm of magic but advancing people life. 6) even if there is a 99% probability human being can live on earth fine, it's still worth it to spend effort to become multi-planetary species. 7) your imagination is the limit.

As a student in the school I was one of those kids who were genuinely interested in Science and everything around us. I used to keep cuttings of about anything and everything I came across regarding Space. It has always fascinated me. I studied because I wanted to learn and I strongly wanted to pursue my career in Space Research. As time passed, I became more aware of the real situation of Research innovation and opportunities in my country (India). Due to my humble roots and not so good financial background I was left with only one option to pursue Computer science career. Today I am a software engineer living a nine to five life with absolutely zero motivation in work or anything about life in particular. I just wish I were born in USA. I’ve got one for you... the original is on Joe Rogan’s episode. Joe Rogan's Magic Wand time. So here's where A.G.I. comes into play. Singularity Net, Telsa's Neural Net, or any kind of open source microbiological Net company can fund these projects to build these communities. The people live there for free or even get credits for living there similar to What Dr. Goertzel was talking about with A.I. earning humans money. The homes are eco friendly supportive of their environment around them, and a living eco system that works together in a highly calculated symbiotic relationship. Where the community is creating healthy relations with plants and animals so that each species involved is living out its greatest potential life together. Edward Wojewodzic had this idea in 1999. a mix of modernism with sci-fi hobbits, living in the earth with communal gardens to tend, technical skills to be learned where community members can have their interest to tend to and learn from. On days you feel like you need a rest go and rest or go to a relaxation therapy session get maintenance on yourself done with physicians, doctors, trainers, teachers, and professionals that are already trying to master their crafts(of relaxation or whatever it maybe). Have several heads of masters in these departments that help pave others roads while reaching peaks of there own the community can stem off of itself and have micro groups of people learning what they are interested to learn in the community. Supply the community with these master from many different fields. Let the A.I. gather the information of the individuals in these communities. Have the distance a half a days walk to the next tribe. Have a similar setup there, and establish vast networks between all these tribes gather data at incredible speeds. If there are other fields that are more efficient at gathering data then their methods can be uploaded and transfered to other communities to help advance all micro nations. Let me know what you think. It would be great to get this idea growing sooner then later. I call it sculptedzoo, and its what I'd do if I had Joe Rogan's Magic Wand :)

There are a lot of highly partisan opinion pieces pretending to be news, or maybe comedy. If people would simply explain their perspective without trying to insult the other guy, we would all be much better off. How can he think that he can take to us our right to see and examine sky, stars? Even scientists are against this project. And we don’t know what kind of consequences would have his project on the weather. It’s sad that growing up with my friends and families, I would always try to encourage them in everything they do and I was a big believer that if you keep trying and trying that you will get there. I've been feeling kind of off for a past number of years about something I couldn't quite put my finger on. And when he mentioned that the internet is essentially like a hive mind I realised that this is it. I realised that I'm feeling the angst and fear of possibly millions if not billions of people to some small degree. But the cumulative effect is actually quite notable when I think about it. We have to solve this as well. While keeping the internet - It is a wonderful thing all the same. And our emotions too - They have gotten us this far after all. I am a Noble Laureate in Economic and Elon is the biggest fraud out there. Makes overpriced junk cars that barely gives you 200 miles per charge and takes two hours to go off the highway for a charge. What is truly pathetic is Tesla had to sell carbon credits to show earnings in its last reporting. Now the stock is trading at $2500/share. It is not even worth $25 /share. I predicted MSFT will drop to $15/share after the .com bubble burst. Now I predict that Tesla will drop to $35/share in two months due also to the fact that more progressives will be elected and the Fed chairman will no longer be in the pockets of Wall st that prints unlimited money to fund Stocks like Tesla.
