Two decades later, reminiscing about my stint at the coal mine with Elon Musk feels almost surreal. Back then, our days were filled with the gritty reality of shoveling coal, not knowing that one of us was destined for the stars. Elon, with his peculiar charm, convinced us that revolutionizing the coal industry was the key to our collective future. "Coal to rocket fuel," he'd declare, with that twinkle in his eye that made you wonder if he was a genius or just a touch mad. The highlight, or rather, the absurdity of those days was the infamous "Flamethrower 0.5." Elon believed our mining experience needed an adrenaline boost, as if extracting coal wasn't thrilling enough. Dodging flames amidst coal dust became our bizarre daily routine, and it was a wonder no one lost their eyebrows. As we laughed and toiled, little did we anticipate that Elon's quirky ideas were planting seeds for something far grander. Fast forward to today, and I'm still in the coal mine, surrounded by echoes of Elon's eccentric vision. The dreams of space exploration and renewable energy he planted back then have yet to fully bloom in my world, but they linger as a reminder of an unlikely partnership in the depths of the earth. So, here I am, two and a half decades later, still shoveling coal, occasionally chuckling at the memory of Elon's audacious plans. Who would have thought that a coal mine would be the unlikely backdrop to the genesis of SpaceX? Life is unpredictable, and sometimes the most extraordinary tales unfold in the most ordinary places.

Elon has charmed/conned many of this dream of humanization beyond this earth. If you took a simple history class about business you’d realize he was speaking metaphorically. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Musk will create a new share class where he controls 25 percent of the votes with very little capital. This allows Musk to sell all of his other Tesla shares. That money is probably what Morgan Stanley is interested in getting, as he owes them a lot of money for Twitter loans. Morgan Stanley is probably going to help him pay off these loans. Musk sold heavily in Tesla to finance the acquisition of X (formerly Twitter) for 44 billion dollars - and today sits at around 13 percent. With a market capitalization of $609 billion at the close on Tuesday, Musk is sitting on $80 billion worth of shares. This is the beginning of the end for Tesla, which has been a phenomenon for 15 years. 50 percent of turnover in zero-day options is in Tesla, so when Musk exits and the stock is priced like a regular car stock, the air will soon go out of the balloon! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 FACT: Don't forget that Elon did not found over 20 years old Tesla company, Elon has no engineering or technology education, Elon is just an economist who knows financial tricks and sells dreams of quick wealth to those without knowledge....sorry

Yet, Elon doesn't give much credit to the others that allow him to become successful. He's not engineering everything by himself, he's got a plethora of engineers that do the bulk of the engineering, etc. Yet Elon takes the credit. At least Steve Jobs always gave credit at product launches to the team of engineers that created the products they made.

@@Oneness100 false. Watch him talk about space x and how they wouldn’t have had 3 failures if he was able to find a better chief engineer than himself. He also constantly gives props to the teams at tesla. Be positive!
@Oneness1002 жыл бұрын
@@howtorawk yeah, with Elon, they had three failures. What does that tell you? He only has a BA in physics. Hardly enough to claim you're a rocket engineer. His patents usually have other people's names on them, and he manages to get his name on them, because he's probably at the meetings putting in some ideas, but not necessarily the key person behind them. Elon likes to get credit where credit isn't due. Case in point. Elon was NOT the original founder of Tesla, those two engineers did that Elon pushed out. But Elon only put in some money and part of the terms was that Elon gets founder credit on paper. Under Elon, Tesla stock took a massive hit this year. Down 72%. I'm sure the major share holders want him OUT and for them to get a real CEO that's not screwing around with social media. Plus, Elon put himself and the Company at a HUGE risk. Elon's been taking out loans against his stock, but most companies do NOT allow CEO's to do that. and the reason is when the stock goes down in value and the CEO is underwater with his loans, then the CEO might have to claim banktruptcy.. Well, not sure if Elon's at that point yet, but he might be closer than you think.

How is it that a single man can run not 1, but 3 groundbreaking enterprises. AI, autonomous travel and space exploration; at once. It is astounding. He has great teams of extraordinary bright people to help, but at the end of the day it is still his visions. Human beings can be truly astonishing if they want to be. That is what I think we are witnessing and we should all be extremely proud of and take inspiration from. Perhaps us humans still have a bigger, positive role to play in our own destiny than we give ourselves credit for? If one can do it, so can others. There is surely hope.

@@Reigning_Freedom absolutely false he does not pay 50% of his income as tax. Do you know why? Because that income tax rate does not exist. CEOs are paid in call options and shares, which keeps their paper wealth high and their cash / income low. They do not take a cash salary. This means there is less to tax to pay because the wealth stored in options/shares isn’t a taxable realised capital gain until the option/share is sold. Upon sale, the capital gain (which is small as the shares are issued at a price greater than $0) is subject to significantly more favourable tax rules. The long term capital gains tax rate is nowhere near 50%, try more like 20-25%. It is impossible for him to be paying 50% taxes. Rich people also use debt differently to everyone else; they can borrow and fund their lives with debt, which doesn’t attract tax.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 FACT: Don't forget that Elon did not found over 20 years old Tesla company, Elon has no engineering or technology education, Elon is just an economist who knows financial tricks and sells dreams of quick wealth to those without knowledge....sorry

when Elon says his hero's "Neil Armstrong, and Gene Cernan" as a child and still are his hero's. If only people would take a moment and think about Elon Musk as where his ideas come from which is his mind but I think its his heart first!! I'm an intuitive and highly empathic so I can see Elons heart, his pain, and his joy very very well! Elon Musk is my hero and I would stand with him anytime! I'd even die for him now that is a very deep and weird comment some may say and it is!! But I know that this person Elon Musk is a loving person he says we need more love in this world and I've been saying that since grade school. So when I say I'd die for him is because, in a zero percent this would ever happen me standing next to Elon but if it did and a bad guy says, "its you or me!". Yes I would absolutely take the bullet. see he would be able to keep working to save humanity where in turn I wouldnt. Finally I wish I could work with his projects. if I were asked to do a job that could kill me but it could be the breakthrough of a great thing or save the planet and people,, YES I WOULD DO THE JOB!!!. I like how he said he doesn't ever give up. It's so hard for me even this very moment to do just very small needed things. I do have depression but I'm medicated for it. Gotta remember to never give up. I had brain tumor surgery where quite a good sized piece of my skull was removed and is now held in place with metal plates and screws. There's a big dip across the top of my head where the incision was made so I don't think any kind of chip would work out.

It would be amazing to develop a quickly reusable transportation system to Mars. The landing of SpaceX on Mars would be fantastic. Even with a one percent risk that something will happen to Earth, it might still be advantageous to colonize a second planet. It is inspiring and exciting to imagine another future in which we are traveling through space, possibly even beyond our solar system. It's time to start working on establishing a base on Mars and extending life on Earth. It's possible that Space X will send life to Mars in the future, resulting in multiplanetary life. I appreciate that Mr. Musk is adamant that establishing a colony on Mars is feasible.
