Jane H commenting ….. Ann Margaret was so beautiful & Elvis was incredibly handsome … & the two of them had so much chemistry between them. They fell in love & were seeing one another for some time after this movie had ended, but Elvis didn’t want a wife who had her own movie career, & Ann Margaret was already a star & didn’t want to give it up. But they remained very good friends right up until Elvis’ death, & I think it was Joe E who phoned her to tell her he had died, & she was on the next plane over to Memphis. I don’t think the two of them ever stopped loving one another & it’s a shame the two of them didn’t hook up again once he & Priscilla were divorced.

I was definetly shocked that you did not know who ANN MARGARET is! She and ELVIS had a torrid love affair for years! He almost married her instead of Priscilla! I personally think that he should have married her! After he married Priscilla, he sent ANN MARGARET roses every time she OPENED a new show! She said that when the roses didn't arrive when she opened a new show...she knew that something was horrible wrong!!! He LOVED her MADLY and SHE loved HIM!!! I do not think that he would have died so early if he had married her. Also, she was known as the female ELVIS; they were almost mirror images of each other. ANN MARGARET was super fantastic!!! She was larger than life, similar to ELVIS! THANKS FOR YOUR WONDERFUL REACTION! YOU ARE GREAT! OH, she was a pin up girl too!

Ann Margaret was a singer, dancer and actress who had about a yr love affair with her. There are several scenes from this movie of them singing and dancing together. They were deeply in love and soul mates. Until he died, he sent her flowers every time she opened a show. Priscilla was at home at Graceland, this was pre her marriage to Elvis, and read newspaper reports of their affair. Priscilla didn’t usually travel to LA when he was filming a movie. Elvis decided to stick with Priscilla, who was a tradition woman and not a career actress. Ann is still alive and her long time husband died a few yrs ago. She has given interviews about their love affair. In addition, it may have hurt Elvis career had he left Priscilla for another woman, as he had promised her dad he would marry her.
