Thanks, Dani ! .. I've been waiting for someone to react to this Elvis classic .. It's one of my very faves by The King, and it is hugely under-rated IMHO .. It has such a different feel from most of his other work, and its somewhat haunting melody and dramatic atmosphere have always stayed in my mind.

This is a different type of song for Elvis, but he did it spectacularly! One has to understand the times back then, 'The Edge of Reality' was right in vogue with the times which kept Elvis on top, where is always belonged! Just a great pick Dani! Thanks Dani!

The girl in the white is the one he is talking about. Here name is Michelle Carey. She kept using different names throughout the movie. He did fall in love with her. This is one of my favorites! There is a little of everything in it. Elvis gets to especially show his comedic side.

I first listened to, and loved this song on a cassette player in my pup tent during NG training back in the 80’s. When I watched the movie it was in, the visuals I remember, were much different than what you showed. Thanks for sharing!

Great review Dani! This is a dream Elvis is having in the movie and he's describing his love interest in the movie whose mind games, split personality and good looks have a very strong effect on his character in the film. Note - she's the girl in the white dress (actress Michele Carey) who all the other girls get behind near the end of song. The original "A little less conversation" is from the movie also. This was never a big hit for Elvis but this clip is from the movie "Live a Little Love a Little" made in the late '60s and it shows. Not a great movie nor were any of Elvis's movies but I like the song you need to watch the movie.
