The new Elvis movie got me on a full youtube deep dive. What an amazing live performance! This guy sounded better live than most do today with professional recording studios altering their voices to make them sound much better than they actually are. When you're a legend you live forever.

@Joana Rose Absolutely. For one, even towards the end he wasn't that overweight. It was more of a bloating issue. Secondly, funny how you ridicule him for picking on Mike's condition from health issues when Elvis was in the same boat. Finally, even if he was morbidly obese, it would still be a far better fate to looking like a life version of Jeff the Killer like Michael did.

Elvis, the King of Cool. When artist's talk about "originality" and the "whole package", this is a prime example of just that- raw, fresh charismatic stage presence and dynamism at its peak. Nobody looked, moved or sung like Elvis. He was disarmingly beautiful; his voice was annointed by God, and he was born to entertain and kick down doors when other performers were still learning how to ring the bell. Seriously, Elvis was ahead of his time!

EP was born for the show. Never seen anyone more confident than him on stage. He even bursted out laughing during the performance but all just seem so natural & became an integral part of the moments. Many are sad because he died young. As for me, he was never born to be an ordinary people so when the show turns sour, he left. However, he is missed forever.

God did the perfect creation starting with his looks and even his name. His voice was forever in tune and perfect, and the movements he made on stage no one could do with the same flair. I was lucky I was 16 years old when Elvis made his evolution in America in 1956 and changed music forever for the better.

Wonderful response. A pity no one was there was to look "after him".. Saw him in the 70's towards the end. A tragedy, a mesmerising performer, way before his time.. he had everything,, the voice, the looks and the charisma. Still, not forgotten.

@@harrythedirty4256 very true, this is where he's most versatile in singing, because he sang many genres in this live special, rock, Rnb, Gospel, Ballad, country and Pop. Which makes this era is where elvis is at his best, only if he manage to stay like this till in the 70s he could've battlr along MJ in the 80s era

I’m 26 and this is my favorite artist ! When I was 12 with my cousin we were dancing in a garage with lights and all (a party) and suddenly : SMOKE “Oh cool grand father has a fire machine” He hasn’t ! My aunt smashing the flames with a towel and my mother screaming “YES” is my best memory with Burning Love background this is very true

I'm 20 years old and I absolutely love this performance. It is a shame I wasn't born in order to enjoy his music live but I'm glad I am able to do so now. I can't believe how hard he had to fight so as not to get censored, a shame really but fortunately he overcame that and we have the delight to listen to him non-stop. Absolutely love 50s, 60s and 70s music, nothing compared to nowadays music, you needed talent back then!

I really want to time travel back to this point watching his performance. His hairstyle, voices and dance moves are barnstorming in my humble opinion. Nowadays, many singers do many stupid stuff to keep them in the spotlight with no talents at all. Elvis Presley is the icon for not only 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, but also for whole generation. Thanks for bringing us this performance and I'm really obsessed with it.
