@@suzannedgregorec Ooh yeah!! I knew it later that it was actually Austin Butler himself who sang the young Elvis’s songs throughout the movie. @@prakash_niro Actually? Wrong. There were songs early in the movie that were not Austin, but elvis alone. "Fever" and a few others. As for the "blending", it waa only used to prevent lip synching issues. Austin's voice is not heard later on. The "blending effect" was used only to prevent lip synch problems.

My grandmother was an Elvis super fan and a devout Christian. She brought her Bible with her to one of his concerts (she always had it in her purse) and she was lucky enough to meet him in person, and he signed the inside cover of her Bible. That pink Bible sits at my mother’s house in the China cabinet.

Watching Elvis' performance here, it is hard to believe how nervous he was before he walked out on to that little stage, in the midst of his first live audience since 1961. It took a lot of effort on Steve Binder's part to get Elvis to go out, and you can see at the very beginning how nervous he was - notice his hand shaking when he reaches for the microphone. That applause he heard was all it took to reassure him that he still had "it," and there was still an appetite for it.

Hello from England. That is what made Elvis unique. He just had that EXTRA SOMETHING. A stage presence like no other. I was only a child in the 60's and its sad he never got to come to Britain back then. He had so many fans here i am sure he would have enjoyed himself. Sell out at the old Wembley. I am so happy that we get to look at him through good people that post all of this stuff. I would think that there is so much more stuff out there yet to be posted. Keep safe

Imagine the chaos, that would have been, if they freakin' out in that small place...And the people were grown up enough, because they wanted to enjoy Elvis and didn't want to got Elvis in trouble. They respect each other. It's not like in the fifties where the teenagers were totally freaking out, because Elvis was something totally different and new. Elvis had 2 vocal ranges while both Freddie and MJ had 4. And in terms of dance no one can even dream of beating MJ. In terms of fame and success Elvis is ahead Freddie but not even close to MJ. I watched this on our big screen TV in our living room, and even my 6 year old daughter couldn't take her eyes off of Elvis. That's how charismatic, and good looking the guy was. Man, I wish I could've lived through the 50s, 60s, and 70s, when Elvis was around. Better yet, I wish Elvis would've been born later enough to be the age he was during the 68 comeback special, right now. Nobody will EVER be as good as he was. Nobody.

And it didn’t matter what stage either. Madison Square Garden, the Aloha From Hawaii satellite performance, or even his ‘68 comeback when he and his band was literally living there to get more into the music and environment. His ‘68 comeback compared to the rest of his venues and performances was almost so seemingly unplanned and very informal. A lot of joking and messing around but A LOT of great music!

I've known the name Elvis Presley my whole life yet his music never appealed to me because i was hyperfocussed on my own musical heroes. But recently a friend of mine put on this live video of EP, and ever since that moment an obsession has been growing inside of me. This man must be the greatest entertainer that ever lived. His voice combined with his attitude and body language is just so overwhelming to me that i'm crying like a 5 year old. I've never felt so amazed watching a singer. My god, attending one of his live shows must have been life altering. I feel extremely humbled watching him. I'm beyond words. And this is coming from somebody who's been playing music for 20 years on both guitar and piano.

It's hard to believe how Elvis had gone from being the coolest guy on the planet to being totally out of date but, by the end of the 60s that's where he was due to bad management, movies & bad soundtracks. Michael had a few great, great songs, but he had a stinker every once in a while. Those mentioned never had a stinker, Elvis in particular. I'm a Michael Jackson fan, but he's no king of pop, rock, or of anything else. Media made Michael famous because Michael knew how work the media, and he was good at it.

Elvis voice grew up and he put all his power, anger and love to all his oldies...I know he was so tired of these song through years singing the same - so he did these in his new way - which is iconic in these days. Love you Elvis always.

He didn't do them a new way dude. They simply did a mix of his songs for the tv special because of the short run time.
