7:35 Man, even I’m still catching more layers, after 100+ viewings of this song/music video. “I’m too mfing stingy for Cher” is what he says, and there is an easily googled reference there (search “Eminem talking to Cher”), but on the surface, he’s intending “I’m too mfing stingy TO share,” which still applies to the Cher story (and to save people the search if they got this far, Cher told or implied to Eminem (in a quote I forget), that dating her was extremely expensive, at some music awards show. Add in that he rhymes “Cher/share” with “chair,” and that’s just great wordplay, since I’m sure people who don’t know who she is might call her “chair.” Not to mention that before the chair bar, he’s comparing his lyrics to two famous serial killers who both got the chair.

8:59 I don’t think you caught all of that section, but it’s hard to catch it all, even with my studying, and it’s even harder to know when you’ve caught it all, and I don’t assume to have done so fully yet. Just for the short list “black ink (tats and/or pen ink), Fat Pete’s (deep Eminem historical location), Maxi (Maxi pad, but in this case, a Maxi SINGLE), rap sheet (list of crimes/SINGLEs), what at-tracts these (continued two-syllable rhyme scheme) people is my Gangsta, Bitch, like Apache (who rapped “Gangsta Bitch”) with a catchy jingle (Four syllables with “Maxi Single,” and NGL, Apache wrote a catchy jingle with Gangsta Bitch), I stack chips (Pringles, like in his video from long after this released, “GNAT,” to hidden rhyme with “single” and “jingle”), you barely got a Half-Eat-en (emphasized that same two syllable rhyme pattern I’ve been listing with the capitals, there) Cheeto. Hard to believe that’s just the short list, but there’s definitely more layered there, some of which none of us (except Eminem or people he’s slyly dissing, or as I like to call it, “taking Shady shots at”) may ever fully understand.

Eminem songs are definitely not just a “weekend project” to comprehend fully, especially when you count all the intended meanings, jumpy-ass clustered perfect rhyme patterns, and even the added meanings that the video highlights. I will, however, for anyone who reads this far, share my favorite intended meaning from this section, part of the “eliminate ‘em” bar meanings, which is “L-Lemonade them,” which is short for his music video director’s company, “Lyrical Lemonade.” Honorable mention goes to “Renegade ‘em,” which is slang for doing what he does in the song “Renegade,” which is showing a rapper up on his own track (see also: “Speedom”).
