Yes, this is so true Father Mark. Yesterday, which was Tuesday, I went to mass with my son and decided to read the readings ahead of time so that at mass I could give my Living with Christ booklet to my son so that he could follow. Hearing it all the second time caused me to contemplate the readings so much more as I had spent more time absorbing not just the readings but the psalm, acclamation , gospel and more!

Dear sister in Christ, Jennifer🕊️🌹, this also used to happen to me, (about 20 yrs. ago), every night I tried to read the Book of Psalms,( even if I tried reading the Psalms on the floor - I would still fall asleep and wake up on the floor in the middle of the night 😊). Dear Father in Heaven grant Jennifer the gift of perseverance and the ability to pick up her study again after a break. Amen. Consider the many ways to add scripture to your life not just study. You could listen to an audio book, discuss your dicoveries with a friend, watch a biblical video there are word for word versions, meditate on a verse, have things with a verse on round your home, cross stitch a bible verse, watch videos of bible study. Just saying there might be more ways than one of studying and incorporating scripture into your life and some methods will be easier than others.

as always, Father, so valuable. My church has online Bible study once a week. My priest, a wonderful Franciscan, goes over the readings for the coming Sunday with us. we discuss them in some depth and he asks our opinions about what they mean to us. With our back-and-forth, he makes decisions about how he’s going to deliver his homily regarding the scriptures. We have been doing this for years. We have learned so much from him and he humbly listens to us also. through this lovely partnership we are absorbing scripture

But I really do like you so I may do this. I am so tempted! I probably will... gee - well I think after listening to your spiel I will try it! yay! I want you to know that I personally believe you are filled of the spirit and that you have good intentions. I also think you will spend money for the good of others and not yourself. Father Goring….again showing us he is a humble man of God…not perfect and makes mistakes and (maybe unnecessarily) publicly owns up…..I’ve been very much evangelicalized on line by many great Catholics…have returned to mass…going to confession in a few hours…and studying my Bible….I worry that the huge media, in particular social media trap is that it creates narcissism and ego inflation…..Father here, seems to have his head screwed on straight and always a great KZbin video from him….if my expected improvement in my health and finances happen this year I will be joining the school of reading….i like what I see about that…..

Recently started to read the 'Liturgy of the Hours'. Starting with 'Invitatorium' at 7AM, Laudes at 8AM, 'Terz' at 9AM, 'Sext' at 12AM, 'Non at 3PM, Vesper at 5PM and finally 'Komplet' at 8PM. Doesn 't make it to read them all most of the days, though I make sure to start the day with 'Invitatorium' as it changes everything. You basically invite God to join your day.

Loving God means spending quality time with God daily in His Word and singing worship out loud. Loving your neighbor means putting God's Word into action in your neighborhood. Filling in the gaps for the fatherless, the widow, the single parent, the addicted, and the homeless. Spending quality time with your neighbors and encouraging them to stay on track and watching them grow in the ways of the Lord. Nobody today knows the ways of the Lord. That is the kingdom of heaven here on earth; the jewel in the field that Jesus said to sell everything to buy that field.

Every gift from God, even today, is in the Gifts of the Holy Catholic Church, through His Sacraments, People, Prayer, the Holy Trinity, Our Blessed Lady:the Holy Mother of God, the Holy Angels and Saints of God and of course the Tradition of the Holy Word of God: Sacred Sripture.
