Embellishing a Canvas Tote, Basic Thread Painting

I just received a few canvas totes to add to my summer flea market shop. In this video I show how I am going spruce them up! These are large bags, perfect for a market bag or a beach bag. The size is 17" wide, 15" tall with a 6" bottom.

Your embellishments are adorable! Probably the hardest thing to do is pulling the bag open enough to sew only on the front or only on the back! It looks like those bags are sort of stiff, which is good for market bags. Thanks for the inspiration, Julia!

Hi, I’m using a white bobbin. These bags can easily be lined but I try to keep the price down when I sell them at my flea market shop.
