Hello all, some time back, I had the distinct pleasure of sitting down with legendary Comedian and Oscar Award Winning Actor, Mo’Nique. This phenomenal woman truly is dear to my heart. As we as black continue to fight and stand up for our community, women like Mo’Nique have constantly spoken out on our behalf to provide us with a better understanding of the issues we face as black people and a better future. So, sit back and listen to this deep discussion we have on the legacy of our community from back THEN, and what we need to do to move forward TODAY so that our children may have the best possible TOMORROW. Thank you so much to Mrs. Mo’Nique and her team for doing this. It meant everything to me to sit down next to such greatness! I want to also send a huge thank you to Fabian Matthews for editing and acting as videographer of this project. If you need an awesome videographer, be sure to hit him up; link down below. Stay tuned for the documentary series that I am working on that will include segments of this interview. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you all “Embracing Ourselves”: with the legendary, MO’NIQUE!!!

Awesome interview. I'm about to watch Part Two. Mo'Nique is so inspiring. I wish I could sit down and just talk with her. Receive her words of wisdom of how I can maneuver through my own life. I've lost sight of aspirations and lost motivation, but I just keep praying and keep going to the best of my ability, considering my circumstances. God blessed us with Mo'Nique and I definitely treasure her insight and knowledge.

Love her..disgusting how she was treated for precious I feel they took her Oscar moment away or down played it she made the film what it was I can’t think of another actress that could have portrayed Mary. She has every right to stand up for black women somebody has to do it. Hope to see her back on the screen doing her thing could watch her all day💗

Funny how they always want to stand up when they pockets are in a drought. Very few celebrities do it when they on top. Once they come down off they high horse they start all this activism and that's just to get the common folk back behind them...I don't buy it. She fronting for the cameras

@Star wearing a bonnet in public is ghetto as hell. Don't make excuses for it because you do it. I rather you just own it and say "oh well". It looks tacky. Yes i get it sometimes you might have to run to the store. But why you in the mall shopping dressed up nice with a bonnet on your head? Take the time to do your hair and stop making doing hair so complicated with sewing other peoples hair into yours

@Star sis let me tell you something. Your absolutely right. I don't expend much energy on either because I as a black man have come to the realization that the black community as a whole is lost and likes it that way. I'm just giving you some friendly advice. Bonnets are ghetto. U literally got a weave in in the pic but ok. Statistics? Statistics are 99% of woman in public with bonnets are black

@Starwhy would you have a pic of someone else? Is that who you want to look like? Do you think she is pretty because of her long silky fake hair? I think we on to something now. I got you figured out.
