The EPIRB may be old but it could be the one thing that solves a mystery of a missing vessel. Also, in addition to removing the plastic from the environment reporting this could potentially save resources by keeping the EPIRB from re-entering the ocean and causing a "search" for a non-existing vessel should it be found again. I know it does not sound likely but some vessels out there do use old EPIRBS due to cost even though many private vessels are not required to carry one.

That was such an awesome adventure! Those waves !! what Hayden Shapes board are u riding Billy ? I own 2 Haydens love them I have the hypto and the Plunder the Plunder is pretty Rad I ride it as a single fin its like a mini long board lol. but I just had a Custom high performance Fish made with all my Dims '' its a 5'6 with a super razor thin tale this board was everything I dreamed , It surfs so NICE !!!! lol so the Haydens have been sitting on the rack lol ... any was Killer vids Guys !!! Which one of the many cameras is your "go to every day" camera you guys? I'm not impressed with my (2) GoPro's (brand new Hero8 BLK & Hero4 Silver that I took swimming last night in what I was told was a fully waterproof case, only to have a saoked camera seconds later) or my Samsung cell where filming is concerened. I would have just called the Coast guard and told them where I found the EPIRB.. Also you guys are L U C K Y Sierra didn't break her neck falling off that swing. I hope you both learned to NEVER push someone on a swing unless they are holding on with both hands to the rope(s).

Localism on surf breaks......tell em to get over it.....haha. As you surely know from your lifeguarding background....mostly all wind and bluster... Be respectful and usually all is well...no drop-ins allowed. Coming from a surfing community within a surfing community, we had beach breaks (4km), reef breaks and point breaks all with their own 'locals' yet it was only 1 coastal suburb with 3 high schools within its postcode....interesting times back then.......yet we fished, sailed and played footy together.......ahhhh memories of youthful escapades. Bloody locals!
