Dollar Tree rocks! We buy the Columbia pasta (1.5 lbs for a buck!), mushrooms, gnocchi and canned gravy there! Also first aid and toiletries... Some of the items like foil and plastic bags are actually a better deal at Walmart, you have to watch the count to see if it’s a deal. For freezer organization, I’m afraid those plastic baskets won’t hold up however I use a combination of dollar tree reusable shopping bags and Amazon boxes to organize my freezer and that seems to work just fine!

For a replacement to the ice scraper, here's a quicker, faster solution. Mix 1/2 cup water & 1 cup alcohol in a spray bottle. When you spray on the iced windows, the ice dissolves immediately...no need to scrape

Y'all just make me smile. I love your videos so much. I'm just starting with everything and a little anxious but thankful God is on my side. I'm like you and will be hunkering down at home. I wouldn't get far if had to hike it. My daughter and I live in a TINY little place but we are making it work. And because we don't have a basement space, we are being "creative" with how to organize. One of the thing things I am finding super helpful is that I made an "inventory" list of all food and supplies so I always know what I have and can check off items as used. That way, when I go to the store I know exactly what I have, etc. Y'all are amazing. God Bless.

My husband was a medic in the Army and yes they used the glue and also duct tape if they had any. So I haven’t gotten the glue because I always forget but i did get the duct tape. I wish he would do a video with me on the medical things because even though I was a Nurse Technician it would be helpful to have that extra input while I’m doing it instead of after.

Aluminum pans from Sam’s club are the best. Much thicker than DT with less chance of warping the minute you have liquid in the pans! Fyi. They have multi packs of them. So I saw this recently. Just stopped at DT today to get a square cake pan (real kind not the foil kind). Use brick pavers and lay flat together. Sit the square cake pan in middle. Put more bricks all around the sides. Sit 4-5 votive candles in the middle of the pan (I have a ton of the tea lights that I put inside of a taller glass votive holder). Put a baking cooling wire rack over the top of the bricks and pan. Sit a pot on top of lit candles. It’s slow but could warm up soup or make tea or cocoa. It’s my back up plan to my backup plan to my backup plan. Never know when power out in cold weather. 😃. Thx for sharing your fun hauls.

Hey I was looking at a KZbin video and I came across these bleach tablets, I had never seen those before it only take one tablet to make a gallon of bleach, You can drop it in a bucket of water to mop your floor, You can use it in your clothes so what I did was save a two quart bottle of bleach container and I was able to drop one tablet in my container,The bleach tablets contain 32 tablets in the bottle, It's hard for me to pick up a bottle of bleach all the time when I have to go grocery shopping, The bleach tablets works great.. you can get them from Walmart or Amazon I do believe, I got mine from Amazon... no not at all I truly enjoy your Dynamic together and enjoy y'all Hauls the two of you make me smile y'all definitely will be prepared..

Somebody I was watching was using the reusable shopping bags from the grocery stores that have handles to organize things in the freezer. I guess the handles make it easier to pull the food out and it keeps similar items together. I haven’t tried it yet, but it seemed like a decent idea to try and see how I liked it. I was thinking I might use them to keep all my quart size foodsaver bags of veggies, cheese, butter etc. together. I have too many to go in the little basket that’s in my deep freezer and those small things get lost in the deep freezer sometimes.

Pegi, I do the same thing - I use the plastic bins from the Dollar Tree in my deep freezers. All of my meats are vacuum-sealed like yours and they like to slide around a lot when they are frozen on top of one another. So the bins help to keep everything from sliding around and falling out when you open the door in my upright freezer. LOL In my chest freezer it helps me group things and quickly take out items to get to baskets/items at the bottom of the chest freezer. They work well in both instances and they have held up well too.

Scissors are worth their weight in gold have at least one pair in each room. Cheap sandwich bags that I put box meal contents into them and the put the bags into a quart jar. As an aside I use the dri z air and moisture eliminators in my car in winter. Put one in the car when I won't drive it for a day or two. Eliminates that inside window fogging/frost and manages the moisture from snow you track in on your shoes. HOWEVER,. BE CAREFUL REMOVING THEM THEY WILL BE FULL OF FLUIDS.

@Lisa Scott, I’ve learned from other preppers that gas will only last about 6 months in storage. However, you can add fuel stabilizer to and it will make it last longer. I found some called “Sta-bil” at Walmart and it says it should extend the life up to 23 months. Hope this helps.

The plastic baskets you have would be great for your chicken flavored rice and like items, also toothbrushes and paste just to keep the shelf tidy. And because we don't know what's coming I would suggest eating from the pantry but then replenish and you go so you always have a nice stock pile. Much love and many blessings!

We never heated the potted meat. We mixed it with mayonnaise and put it on a slice of white loaf bread.. The cans were about half that size and cheap for a family with seven kids. I love watching you guys. Bless you.

I live in a remote place, and enjoyed seeing the stores. You are right, just seeing things reminds you of the little stuff you might overlook otherwise. I added several things to my grocery pickup order after watching your video today. The super glue is a great idea. Hey, surgeons use it! Thank you for the tips and everything today Peggy and THE Don! Ya'll are the best.

To organize my deep freezer, I find heavy cardboard that can be creased into a square shape. I have it extended a little then use brads or glue to form the box. I even have a bottom. In it so the bags of frozen foods don't touch the bottom of the freezer. I have used hvac filter boxes and put a divider in the middle. These work great when I defrost the freezer. I can just pull our the boxes, cover them with towels and defrost. Keep sharing and keep safe

I saw another video where she used the white dish pans in her freezer. They seem like they would be stronger. Another lady used the flat storage boxes that have the locking lid.

I LOVE the DT. It's one of my favorite places to shop. You never know what you're going to find no matter how often you shop. They have a lot of name brand items if you're into name brand. Love all of your videos. You guys are great!👍👍👍

Those moisture eliminators works, i have used them even used the big tubs. The big company that have them, now have them in a plastic decorative container that uses big tabs that lasts months. i'm not using so must plastic to throw away and it isn't so heavy as the big tubs. I use it in my house and it doesn't give off that musty smell when water is collected in it. it smells good.
