I feel like legal aid should apply to some types of civil court, too. It's already bad enough in criminal court that people with money tend to have better outcomes than the average person, but it's well known that it's even worse with civil cases bc you literally HAVE to pay a lawyer or be S.O.L. Idk, it would obviously be a weird thing to make rules on who gets the help and who doesn't and in what circumstances, but it just doesn't feel right that what's happening to the professor can happen to anyone, and you have no recourse without money.

That's why summary judgment was granted - and why Gillard is now claiming that her religious freedom has been infringed, because by dismissing her readings and conjecture as material or evidentiary, she claims that the court is taking a stance on the truth or falsity of her "spiritual practices". She then claims this means that her spiritual practices are being "singled out" (even though _all_ such practices are _equally_ dismissed by the courts) and therefore the summary judgment order is in violation of the First Amendment. Suppose that's what happens when swathes of the federal courts are captured by people who think that it's a form of religious expression to refuse to cover certain types of healthcare for your employees or pressure players into praying with you in the middle of the field.

Sorry, but I'm a vocabulary nerd. If TT were truly "omnipotent" she would literally be all-powerful & therefore have been able to stop any murders -- in Idaho & everywhere else -- from ever happening in the first place. If TT were truly "omnipotent" she would be responsible for not having stopped any & all of the bad things that have happened to everyone in the world ever since she became "omnipotent", & she would therefore be liable in potential civil suits from everyone in the world who has had anything they don't like happen to them since TT's "alignment". TT apparently doesn't bother to use a dictionary, much less think about any of the implications of any of her claims. I seriously worry about the minors I understand are dependents in her care. Legitimate question: What does it matter what the dollar amount is? Guillard isn’t going to pay it, regardless, and pursuing further legal action to force her to divest assets to pay is just more time and money down the drain for the professor (and unlikely to generate much of value in the end.) That’s entirely aside from how, to certain types of people - the sorts who’d follow Guillard, anyway - this is just continuing to ram home that it’s all a hate campaign designed to silence “DA TROOF,” and this allegation is going to be a can tied to the professor’s tail for the rest of her career… likely to even lead to legal or career problems for her, depending on how loud and obnoxious the conspiracy theorists get.
