3:28 okay there is a reason why this is. During the “creamer making process” they remove a protein called casein to make it non-dairy. Casein is something in milk that most people are allergic to, but it doesn’t remove the lactose which is why they legally have to disclaim that it has milk. It is still technically non-dairy because it lacks the casein but they have to tell you it’s made with milk if that makes sense.

Some people think hypoallergenic animal means hairless or less shedding but that’s not always the case, it just means they don’t have the allergen protein in their dander. So you gotta be transparent. In the case of the milk, it’s like saying it’s hypoallergenic milk, but because lactose intolerance (and veganism) aren’t about protein allergies, they need to know that the product is in fact milk and contains lactose. (Or if you’re vegan, you need to know it’s still animal based.)

5:30 for the McDonald's permissions, I have a few theories as to why they would legit need those permissions: Camera: for scanning QR codes and other stuff; Location: to identify the closest restaurant, especially since this may impact the availability of products; Storage: lots of apps do that for downloading and storing assets during use instead of releasing a new version of the app. Worth nothing the way recent Android phones work, storage permission doesn't give access to all files necessarily, unless you manually allow it; Phone is the only one I don't see any potentially legit use other than using it as an ID.

I've run into an AH desgin at work. I work with newsletters via email and when constructing them, I need to upload the files/images into the program that we use. The "Choose image [in the folder]" button is WHITE, small and at the bottom of the pop-up window. It's also the option furthest to the right, after "Cancel" and "Crop image". The "Upload a new image [to the folder]" is GREEN, three times the size, and at the top, next to "Delete" (which thankfully is in red). Guess how many times I've clicked the wrong one....

At the gas station I work at, if you you use the tap option when buying gas, both inside and outside at the pump, you will be charged an extra ¢10 per gallon of gas. It will count the transaction as credit, even if the card itself it debit. If it doesn't ask for your pin when you purchase something, it's probably counting it as credit. Be wary of that cus some places charge a fee if you use credit. (Maverik and kum and go)

That ticketmaster pop-up isn't coming after someone for going alone. It's coming after you because people typically buy tickets in at least pairs, so it will be nearly impossible to sell a single seat.

Yeah, if you buy a single seat that is either directly next to someone or has two or more free seats to either side, you should not get an alert. Not sure how ticket master specifically handles this, but that's how it's usually done. If no suitable single seats are left, you might want to try again later. Seats are reserved for a limited time while you enter your data. If someone doesn't go through with their order, the tickets are re-released after ca. 15 minutes. Also, at least with smaller productions that don't have a full house every night, you might actually get a pretty significant discount on orphaned pairs of seats when you book last minute: often up to 50 %, which means that for the original price of one ticket, you can either book two seats and leave one empty, or take a friend along effectively for free.

The McDonalds app does actually have a use for camera access - its for some of the limited events they do where you scan in physical code tickets. Don't understand the others, but I'm pretty sure a few of the permissions it asked for were so it could auto launch over the top of other fast food apps, something that is apparently a 'bug' but still occurs quite often.

Got this cool box with Oral-B/Crest products marked for about $12, claimed to be marked down by $12 (meaning of price is $24) which I doubt cause the products are like travel size but it’s still a good deal for just $12 but what’s funny is with the box they used everything inside only fills out half the box with the other half empty. We just went to Europe and a "Service charge" is automatically added to almost every receipt. If you ever hear to not tip there that's why, a fucking service charge is a tip and get this, its 10% of your bill.
