"Men don't experience mental trauma. as they are incapable of doing so." OK. Let me get this straight, then. Being left with my mom at the age of 3 to an uncertain future. Watching my mom work her ass off just to make ends meet; seeing her be sent to the hospital time and again for ailments that would, invariably, cost her her life. Being mentally and physically abused by my stepdad regularly; this included him yeeting me down a flight of stairs at the age of 9 because I couldn't get out of bed to go to church (I had the flu, as it turns out). Getting stabbed three times as a child, then having the cop tell my mom he wanted to have ME thrown in jail for being racist (the person who stabbed me was black). Being bullied consistently for my slight build and somewhat feminine voice in school. Having my mom die on me later in life. Getting kicked out of the place I lived because I lost my job due to downsizing. Watching those close to me drift away from me, because I no longer wanted to be walked on. But, no; none of that is emotionally or mentally traumatizing. I see. Gotcha. This must mean that all that was a fever dream; naught but a figment of my imagination, right? Well, if that's the case, please explain why I'm now seeing a therapist twice a week, why I've had to seek mental health treatment in the form of medication and monthly doctor visits, and why I have physical and emotional scars that simply WILL NOT be healed. Go on; I'm waiting...

Ok, but the "men can't experience trauma" Is something that, as a girl, pisses me off to no end. I feel genuinely so horrible for the boys and men that get pushed around and harrased by women, and for society to just accept it as a normal thing. When you see a man hit a girl, your fist instinct is to always interfere, but when a guy gets hit by a girl? He's most likely cheating, or something of the sort, and the worst thing is that these men can't get help because who will believe them? It's so incredibly sad and I hate that its become a normal thing. Women can be sexual predators, women can be abusers, women can be unsuitable mothers. There's no difference between a man and a women, so why continue to create this divide? I can't believe some women really think women inequality is gonna be solved by just switching the roles and making women superior over men, it's gross and a complete hypocrisy Edit: I want y'all to know that I've been reading every comment, and I'm so glad to hear that my comment made so many people happy. My belief that life is too short for hate and discrimination, and it's never worth wasting your life on; there are too many beautiful people in this world to try to pin down one group when we all know that's impossible. Many love to anyone out there, and I wish the best for anyone that's been hurting because of backwards bullshit❤
@thelocalnecromancer12243 жыл бұрын
I agree with you and your comment. I find it horrendous that many of us tend to think this way. Often do I find that people who think this way are the same people who believe conspiracy theories like the "flat earth" and others which I simply don't feel like listing. Such conspiracy as this "men don't feel trauma" bullshit is baseless like many other conspiracy theories. It fills me with hatred to no end. People who do this believing it's "feminism" or "it will fix inequality" are not only harming feminism, but also just causes more inequality. Making women superior to men is not gonna fix inequality, for fuck's sake. Such hypocrisy. That guy doesn't even know what sexual abuse truly is. Anyone can be abusive, regardless of gender, and they should be punished accordingly. They SHOULDN'T participate in such hurtful activities. But some are willing to do so. Looking for dog cat or any other pet care in the bible is probably not going to achieve a healthy animal. Humans of course are animals and what the bible says about them is as much tosh as it's pet care. The bible is a story book written by humans hundreds of years after the said events it's supposed to be about, with dodgy time lines and mythical beings. It has been translated many times and a lot of interpretations are probably wrong. The lines often quoted by homophobic Christians about gays about a man lying with another are said to have originally been about paedophilia in an earlier translation, which would be fair enough. Somethings like forgiveness are worth taking from the bible however that is the one area most Christians can't get their heads around.

As a Canadian I can assure you that on my two visits to the US I made it a goal to not injure my self because of US medical care. Edit: Guys if you have insurance I'm sure United States health care is better. Also, I know that the money will be payed for by Canada if a Canadian gets injured while there, but when I visit the US I am with my friends who are US citizens. If I get hurt, they might as well. Recently my friend got injured after falling of his bike. The insurance covered it and he got really good doctors helping him out. I'm not saying US healthcare is worse then Canadian Health Care, but if you can't pay for insurance they charge for quite a lot. Sorry for it being so long but I wanted to elaborate.

In Washington state we get alot of Canadians just because (in my state) we have top doctors and specialists. I've heard from alot of patients that it can take weeks or months to get seen im Canadia sometimes. (I work in billing so I've seen it too) we have a connection with Canadia that helps them pay for the care they receive here

As a disabled American who is being denied disability... I can assure you that I'd rather live in Canada. Except I have no money and can't get a job so I'm stuck here. That's the cycle of poverty.

And other than disability, there isn’t a single program that can help you right now? Covid really screwed us over. How come you can’t sign up for disability, is it because you lack health insurance?

@@shyrastacy3127WHAT?!?! Go through your local hospital. If you get examined they might be able to set you up. Covered California should be able to get you a cheap insurance plan should you not have any.
