There are hundreds of products on the market meant to help improve your baby's sleep, but in reality most don't work. In this video I'll walk you through the only products you need that will actually improve baby sleep.
Many of the products that claim to help with baby sleep either just don't work (best case), while some have even been shown to be dangerous when used in a crib. This video will help you avoid those unnecessary baby sleep aids, saving you time and money, and helping you avoid potential safety risks.
The baby sleep products shared here are all safe to use, and there are proven reasons as to why they actually help improve your baby's sleep.
I hope this helps both you and your little one get more much needed rest!

Hi Emma! Great content as always. Would you be able to do a video on weaning off of formula and on to cows milk/alternative milk, and then the process of weaning off milk and the bottle? Since my little one turned a year I've really struggled to find content on this next phase and what to expect from his milestones, and how to adapt his feeding schedules/needs.

I avoided blackout curtains with my first two and tried to keep the environment as natural as I could. My kids sleep great! I definitely used a lot of these other tips. Sound machine, waiting til you're sure they're awake, etc. but this time I'm worried because my husband works from home in our bedroom and the other two rooms belong to my older two kids (8 and 5). The baby will be in my room, and is due now (May 12) so my kids will be underfoot all summer instead of at school during the day. I might have to make space in the older kid's room for a daytime basinet to nap the baby away from my working husband.

We have now almost 9 week old baby and we have a lot ups and downs with sleeping. Now she does not want to sleep in her bed during the days. Only places that she will sleep more than 30 min is in my lap or in pram. If I try to put her in the bed she will wake up after 30 min. I have White noice on, we have darker room, I try to calm activity before going to bed, I have fed her and changed diaper. I also try to keep every day as same = same sleeping times, but under 3 moths old is in impossible because they will sleep when they sleep. I don't swaddle her because when I tried it she just cried and cried. I have solved this with kind of "swaddle" (we have a sleeping nest and I stretch a planket top of it so it will little bit restrict movement of the arms and legs but she cannot get tangled on it). Also here in Finland we put babies outside to sleep in pram even in winter. Outside she might sleep even 4 hours but not even every day. And it require that I will walk with pram at least one hour. And half of the time she will wake up when pram stops. (I tried to solve this with pram rocker but that will not always help). Do you have nice tips how I could get her sleep in her bed instead on my lap? I get quite tired of it. And also it usually tooks quite long for her to calm down and starting to sleep. Usually 30 min but sometimes even 1,5 hours. And that "try to get her to sleep" - time she usually cries a lot even though I try to spot tiredness signals as best as I can. She is awake about 45 to 1 h 15 min a time. During that time I try to spend time with her and "play" with her. But when I try to put her to sleep she usually starts crying and when the waking time goes longer and longer she is more and more tired and it is harder and harder to get her to sleep. And yep. We have stomach issues that I have tried to solve (and I know it is one problem). I am just so tired when every day you try and try and after 1,5 hours of trying she will sleep like 15 minutes and wake up. It is very exhausting when you don't have time to sleep, you cannot do any tasks in the house. Sometimes you don't have even time to eat. And you cannot almost move a muscle when she is sleeping in your lap... And sorry my writing, English is not my mother language so I bet there is lot of mistakes.

@EmmaHubbard Жыл бұрын
Hi Amanda, so glad to hear this video was helpful. In regards to your question about light, if your little one is sleeping well then there is no need to turn the light off (as technically pink light has limited impact on one's circadian rhythm). But if your little one isn't sleeping well then it might be worth turning off the light and seeing if the darkness improves your little one's sleep.

Hello mam First of all thank u so much for videos..they are helping a lot. My son is 19 weeks old. And he is not rolling over yet. Should i worry about it or is this normal. I am so confused. Please suggest
@EmmaHubbard
@EmmaHubbard Жыл бұрын
Hi! Rolling over is a skill bubs can learn anywhere from 4 -7months. So I would try not to worry as your little one still has plenty of time to learn this skill. What you can do now is help them roll from their back to tummy and tummy to back rather than putting them straight into this position. This will help them become familiar with the sensation of rolling and help them learn the motor pattern.

Hi lovely Emma, my boy is going to 1 year old in 10 days. His sleep quality and quantity is the worst. I've been to all the doctors I knew and they all say it's a phase and he'll grow out of it. But when??? I don't think they know what is wrong with my boy they can't find his problem Can you please give me a hint or solve this problem ?? He keeps waking up like 20 times a day and doesn't really want to sleep during the day. I'm really really worried about his sleep and I'm just thinking that he might actually have a serious health issue that doesn't let him sleep or stay asleep. Would appreciate if you get back to me🙂

Just ask Alexa to play “white noise “ or “brown noise”. Invest in an echo for light classical music, white noise, playtime music , important feeding alarms/reminders, as well as using it to dim a light bulb (if it’s on the network). Alexa has been so helpful when my hands aren’t free or when I want to avoid need to going into the room ( using app).

Hi! It is not recommended you place a baby on their tummy for sleep due to the risk of SIDS. In this video I cover the different sleep positions and why back sleeping is recommended. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqTcnWdvaZiShbM If it is the reflux waking your little one then the best person to talk to would be your little one's doctor. It sounds like you are on the right track with using thicken formula and medicine. It could also be the 4 month sleep regression which is causing your little one to wake every 1 - 2 hours at night or other things. In this video I cover the common causes for sleep disruptions and what you can do to help which you might find helpful. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6vXg5iMo8uIaMk
