I grew up in an house hold that was less than happy. I remember fighting and my great uncle stopping by to pick me up to stay with him and my great aunt for a couple days and we would always stop at white castles and get a case. It's basically a comfort food for me at this point. After moving out of Chicago and to Arkansas I noticed they didn't have a white castles around and I was very heartbroken until I found the frozen ones like these. I was so happy I cried eating one. They were the fast food of my childhood for sure.

That movie was filmed in Canada. No White Castle in Canada. Solution? Build one! They built a fully functional restaurant for the movie. Afterwards the exterior was redecorated, the inside remained the same except for replacing White Castle signage, and it operated as Yuppie's Burger for a while but went out of business and has been closed for a while. Look for Yuppie's Burger and you'll find an Imgur gallery of the building from a couple of years ago. Crazy that there's still old drinks and stuff in the cooler. Apparently the owners just shut the doors and walked away.

I was flabbergasted, I thought the paté will only be consisting the burger patties themselves not the whole sliders with the buns and pickles. And I was wondering why she steamed many sliders, then I said to myself maybe she'll share the extra sliders with the rest of her family and she'll remove the patties from the unsteamed sliders that was still in the box. So I was really surprised, confused, and amazed at the same time when she put the whole slider in the food processor. This is the reason why I love watching Emmy's videos, it's an adventure itself and it makes you learn something new with the wonders of food. 🙌🙌🙌💜💜💜💜💜

You MUST go to the restaurant, the frozen ones don’t do them justice. I remember when they were 15 cents apiece . Something we could afford for school lunches. I’m no longer in NY, no WC here but when I go home, WC is the first stop. The food of my childhood. Love them! Ask any NY’er.

I grew up in St. Louis, and LOVE White Castles! I live in Texas now, and always buy the 32 boxes of burgers once a month, my kids love them too.

I can't imagine that the steamed buns help the texture! Q: Why do White Castle patties have 5 holes? A: That's how many bullets it takes to kill a rat😂🐀 (Yes, I grew up with them 😏)

I believe that the buns are steamed over the burgers and onions that are cooking. None of tomato mess is on originals! Only bun, onions, pickle, burger..

Emmy, you NEVER disappoint!!! 🤣 💚 Also, I’m making one of your dishes to take to thanksgiving, either the spaghetti-o jello mold or the bologna cake!! 🤔. I’m going to be serious & just watch for reactions 🤣.

i grew up in QUEENS, NY (and WHITE PLAINS, NY) - i've got to say: why are there no WHITE CASTLE restaurants anywhere else in the country ? W.C.'s quality, deliciousness and creativity surpasses, by LIGHT YEARS, McDonald's, Burger King and Whataburger - or any other fly-blown national fast-food chain where the most post popular dish is Ptomaine Poisoning, OMG! Call WC and tell them to GO WEST! a fact: should WC diners decide to celebrate a romantic (but affordable) Valentine's Day dinner, they will not only be greeted by a tuxedo-clad mâitre d' bu will be ushered to a beautiful table set with a table-cloth, lighted candles and a single, long-stemmed rose in a vase. Also: the romantics will be softly serenaded by a jazz trio performing classic love songs. Take that, HAMBURGLAR !

I loved White Castle growing up! As an adult I’ve had it once-their new Impossible slider tastes MUCH better than the normal sliders, making them worth a try if you’re in the Midwest!

My Grandpa and I would go to White Castle as a special treat. Just had some the other day. Don't get them often, but think of my Grandpa when I do. Emmy you have to try them fresh while dining in a White Castle. The complete experience is so much better!

Thank you Emmy. I haven't eaten a burger in ten years, and now I think I'm good another twenty.

I too am a Californian, unfortunately. We had In & Out, and Bob’s Big Boy. It’s a testament to how tiny Emmy is, that in her hands a slider looks like a full size burger. 💕

Wow that’s a neat one! My pate type recipe I like for breakfast (it’s like avocado toast if you made a pate and had crackers instead: 2 avocados 1 thangy of cream cheese (unflavored) 1 can of Vienna sausages Add to taste: Garlic Salt, minced garlic, onion powder Do the same as you did for the hamburger pate, in your food processor. Try it with Wheat Thins.

I'm going to try your recipe but substitute spam for the Vienna weenies. It sounds really good.

This looks good. I think the cheese was good to leave in. You could perhaps tweak the recipe a bit. Also, side note. I have a method of heating the White Castle frozen Sliders in the microwave. From frozen, in pairs, remove the top buns. Heat 40 seconds. Replace top buns and flip over. Heat 30-40 more seconds. Flip back over and garnish to your liking. Perfect.

When you go to White Castle you can ask them to sauce the burgers. This sauce is a mixture of ketchup and yellow mustard. Nothing wrong with what she did.

Im from Ohio and I absolutely LOVE white castle sliders. (as do both my daughters) They have fantastic food for a fast food joint. I actually worked at "White Castles Manufacturing," where they make the frozen white castles like you bought, for about a year in my late teens. The sliders like you bought start their lives off as a 4' x 6' sheet of meat stacked on top of a TON of onions and the lower bun section. once the meat is steam cooked on the bottom bun there were large "bun tops" in the same 4x6 sheet size you'd place that on top after the cooking then it would go through a water press where it cut the actual sliders to shape with a blast of hot water.
