Japanese sandwiches are always crustless. The crust on milk bread isn’t great...and they prefer the clean aesthetics. Kobe is crazy expensive so is retail/restaurant space. Tokyo food prices begin on the humble low end at konbini etc but skyrocket with exotic dishes, it’s not hard to drop a grand on one person in Tokyo. It’s not the imperative either...lots of great foods at every price point.

I have had Kobe beef. It is worth every single penny. You also pay for presentation. I have read comments which were a little negative, saying for the amount that she paid she should keep the scraps, and it looks like wonderful bread. I understand presentation within the culinary world. I for one saw the lovely Emmy test tasting for all of us who cannot get to Japan. I was just ordering some okonomi sauce on Amazon and it made me think of you. I think it would be wonderful if you would do a Japanese or Asian sauces series of videos and let us know what different sauces are and what they can be used on. It would be helpful to know what American or European sauces they taste similar to. I feel like I'm missing out on so many delicious sauces that I could order online. British brown sauce reminds me of Heinz 57. I love to put okonomi sauce on eggs. My son and his wife had a Japanese Aupair that ordered it and cooked a Japanese breakfast for them and served it on eggs but I'm not sure if that's it's primarily use. I think a sauces series might be cool! There are also a lot of recipes online for homemade versions of the sauces. It's an idea I'm sure you're flooded with ideas though. I really enjoy your videos thank you for making them and sharing them with us, they're informational, entertaining and delightful.

For the critics of this video, I will tell you, it is that good. Go try it. One bit of advice. If you go to a Wagyu steakhouse go during lunch. It’ll cost 1/3 to 1/4th of the price of dinner. Same food but you get only 45 minutes at the grill. Same yumminess.

You should try some French pate, real pate which is a solid piece of duck liver. It has a very thin piece of bread under it that serves the same kind of purpose as the bread here but is just to soak up any juice.
