Ok. I'm 19 and I'm am a huge horror buff. I've played all the Silent Hill games, Resident Evil, Amnesia etc. I've read the Silent Ponyville trilogy, Cupcakes, Cheerilee's Garden, Rainbow Factory, and many others and while those stories scared me to varying degrees, I usually was able to laugh it off. I had to turn on the lights in my room while listening to this. I haven't had to do that since I watched a horror movie as a kid and refused to sleep with the lights off as result! This is seriously a great fic.

You know this is a great grimdark/horror story, when it puts you on the edge of your sit building the suspense to see what happens next. When it sends shivers down your spine and putting the fear into ya, even when you have the lights on. I'm looking very forward to the next installment of this story. >=3 Oh, and one more thing, [Spoiler Alert], I really don't feel sorry for Lemon Drop....that bastard of a stallion got what he fucking deserve. Also, he's the reason for the Candy Mare's start, so personally, he deserved to be TRICKED and THEN, TREATED to meeting the CANDY MARE up CLOSE. This was probably one, if not my favorite, part of this marvelous My Little Pony grim dark fictions, most likely because of what happened to Lemon Drop. That dick deserved it, after all he did have a twisted heart as stated twice in this part. This is one of the only My Little Pony grim dark fic that made me look behide me and become extremely paranoid, and this is saying something since I'm rarely scared by anything. Well, I was creeped out by Cupcakes but that was because it was my first dark fic having involvement with MLP. Truly amazing to the author, keep up the good work! This defiantly urges me to read the sequels! But first, I must finish the original tale of the Candy Mare!

Its a mix of things: since many rituals require intent or purpose, Twilight made it fail because she didn't believe that the ritual would work. also, Candy's body was scattered/ stored in different to prevent her from just regrouping

okay, i wondering when more horror was really gonna happen, hadn't really seen any that chilled me since part one, but here? Holly shit! I literally had trouble getitng to sleep last night after listening to it (and i listened to several happy and cool things after to get it out of my mind), having to remind myself that it was a fic and that every sound i heard wasn't candymare coming after me. Still, at least we know who to really blame for all this. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. If they'd just not said anything, they wouldn't have pushed Apple Bloom to make the bet, the book would've never been torn and the CMC wouldn't have used any of the recipes and Candymare would've never been awakened. I hope those two have the most agonizing, terrifying and torturous deaths for what they've caused.
