OH MAN YOU DID ME DIRTY WITH THAT TITLE 😂😂😂 Hi everyone! I'm the orisa in the video! I was laughing at myself alongside emongg and the rest of the comment section 😂 this game was submitted over a week ago I think, and I've since ranked up to silver 4! I'm new to OW and haven't played much shooters (more about that in a bit). Thanks emongg and the comment section for the roasts! Love them all and appreciate all the feedback. I noticed (and cringed at) everything I did wrong cuz I notice it while watching a game but not while playing. That 1v5 ult was truly embarrassingly awful and I know I would advice anyone against that but I was in a moment of panic and didn't notice my own faults easily 😅 I'll take all of those tips into consideration ofc and hope to have another submission in the future with a higher rank and better gameplay! My only experience with FPS gameplay before OW was some Halo and mainly Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal. If you know anything about those games, you know that the gameplay is spamming cooldowns 😅 because you're swarmed with so many deadly enemies you have to hit all your weapons, grenades, and utilities to survive. Also the style of the game is being in the face of the demons - losing health doesn't mean hiding or looking for cover, it means becoming more aggressive and staggering a demon to get a glory kill animation which gives you health. There's still a LOT of doom muscle memory in my hands as I've spent multiple hundreds of hours playing them and perfecting my skill in them - and so a lot of that carried over to my OW gameplay. You should've seen me in QP and lower bronze matches it was brutally awful 😅 If you're still reading, thank you for reading all of that! I appreciate you giving this comment some time of your day :)

@@edb36mar nah it's not distasteful at all. This is not just a spelling difference, these are two words of two different grammatical classes and meanings. It's confusing af, especially for non-native speakers. It's one of the dumbest mistakes in English possible, how can you possibly mistake a verb for a hecking preposition? Nice someone started calling people out for this mistake.

Other than the cooldown management, I really think a word needs to be said about mouse sensitivity. It's not impossible to learn good mechanics on high sens, but it's really not a matter of preference, high sens is just a lot harder -- and only really useful on Genji and Tracer, who like to dash past their target and then whip around 180 degrees. You should drop your sensitivity as low as you can comfortably go, and keep dropping it periodically until you sit somewhere in the ballpark of 5 sens x 800 dpi. You don't need to buy a big mouse pad -- I just clear as much space as I can on my desk, move my keyboard as far to the left as I can, and then wear a cut-out sock around my wrist to eliminate friction.

my best advice for improving aim is aim first and then shoot. its a lot harder to make adjustments when you're already firing

@@SlayerOmair your sensitivity should be whatever allows you to hit targets consistently with your primary fire and abilities. Another thing to remember is that the cart and walls can't die (even after so many javelins) so stay as close to those as you can to avoid unnecessary damage. Last thing, be decisive about your target selection but don't tunnel them to your own detriment, if you can't kill them forcing abilities is enough sometimes

@@ZaWrldo I'll take all of that into consideration and experiment with different sensitivity settings in qp until I get a consistently positive result and yeah I know about walls and cover and all of that, it's still hard cuz I'm used to playing aggressively (only previous fps experience is doom/doom eternal) but I'm working more on it

This person is playing Orisa like I do when I haven’t touched her in a while and am so used to my usual tank (Doomfist) that I just go super fast and hit buttons for a minute until I remember who I’m playing. 😂 Edit: The aim also makes me feel better about my aim…haha

There's something in this player which I recognise in myself, and it has to do with ADHD and the inability to slow down. Like there's this constant need to be doing something.. anything... at all times, and there's so much going on in the game that your brain can keep track of it all it just can't effectively deal with it all. Like the ADHD gogogogogogogo voice overrides strategy. I have had to impliment a habbit in myself where I regularly remind myself to pause, or wait. I imagine like I'm walking a dog that's operating on the GOGOGOGOGOGO mentality and I have to keep telling him to wait. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of bronze people are in a similar scenario.

Sense was definitely too high, you can see it when they shoot at the pylons and keep over-correcting. I get wanting to have high sense but tbh if you're brand new to a game, start low and increase it gradually over time (at least on console, idk about pc aim lol)

With decent mechanical skill these players will have an easier time learning the game because they'll be able to execute strats (lack of a better word) easier. And in this case secure a point WAY sooner than this.... 3:29 nvm, they couldn't even secure the point.......
