they had false sense of security after kirito joined their guild ( all the fights they did become more easy because kirito was there and covering all their mistake) they thought themselves become stronger but it was just kirito assisting. and they wanted to clear high lvl floors and they go lvl 27 (frontline was 28 so close to frontline) and they triggered switch before kirito told them not do it.( kirito thinks that if he didnt join their guild while hiding he is beater , he could warn them that its trap and they believe him.) and there is something like safe level gap you should have 10 lvl more than floor you are fighthing (if you are in floor 25 you need to be atleast lvl 35 to be in safe)

Its true that if they knew he was a beater, things would have went differently. But Kirito was also afraid that they would have rejected him if they knew he was a beater.

I hate it when RPGs do that, low level areas should always have low level enemies because otherwise we're going full TES IV: Oblivion. At high levels in Oblivion you can run into bandits with legendary armor and weapons, which kinda makes you wonder why don't they just sell their gear in order to live like kings. lol

I just post it below my comment: SAO is all about friendship, love and struggling in games. Thats how i would describe it. Also, i never get why people say it's a "Harem" anime.. i mean yes, he meets a lot of girls but none of them is like in usual animes.. going for him the whole time. Thats why i can clearly say it's about friendship and all that what games do know by themselves as they meet other people in games. Beside that there is this difference that they're locked in that game and thats why it is so sad because you have to imagine it's like becoming a real life within this game with all it's tragedies too. Btw. thats why i already said that the anime is one of the best and so hyped ^^ As longer you watch as more you'll both love it ;))

CRAZY FACT (not a spoiler): it was definitely kirito’s fault they all died. yeah, they fell into a trap, but the monsters that spawns there has only 0-5 levels lower than the highest level player. see how kirito killed every monster all alone and got out. the monsters were too high level for the party that they died in one hit.

One huge thing to know is that when this started Kirito is only 14 years old...and when the midnight black cats get caught in that room they were on FL 27.. the top guilds and the clearing teams were on FL 28.. and they were in a special room so even Kirito was overwhelmed.

Did you guys know that the writer created Sachi originally as Kirito's leading lady? But in the end the writer did not like the thought of a frail damsel in distress type of leading lady thus Asuna was created..... So that explains the chummy scenes between them I forgot my source but I'm sure of that article about Sachi At the start of the series I was really rooting for sachi, then it broke my heart but atleast Asuna made up for it and Im happy about that and knowing that Sachi was really intended to be Kirito's leading lady, somehow I felt that as a win 🤣😍

As an old man of 38yrs.. having played games since I was a kid, I can tell you that some of the early MUD's and very very few mmo's, had areas where the monsters level was static, they had no set level and would upgrade based on who was in the area of combat. Now days mmorpg's like elder scrolls adjust the damage players to do mobs so a level 10 can quest with a level 30 and not be one shot... but back in the day what it meant is even though you were in a level 10 area, certain dungeons would upgrade to the level of the highest character, so everything would suddenly be level 30. I think that's what happened here, they were in a level 25 area and if Kirito hadn't of been in the room when the trap went off and the room sealed then everyone would of fought level 20-25 things.. but Kirito being in the room upgraded all the monsters to level 35-50, OR increased the challenge by putting out loads more monsters that would be doable for a level 50 but impossible for 4 level 25s.

Individual player levels are different from the Floor Levels they have to beat. Players level up with EXP from killing monsters, defeating bosses, and fulfilling tasks. So even though Kirito is Level 48,this does not equate to him having been to Floor 48. Tetsuo (leader of the Black Cats) states at one point that the clearing group made it past the 28th Floor. For this show you should pay particular attention to when it gives the date and floor number as this helps with understanding how much of a time skip has happened since the previous episode or even (like with this episode) multiple times within a single episode. It also helps you to realise how many months they've been trapped within the game with no end in sight. As to everyone in the game not teaming up and making a combined effort to clear the game, I think it shows human nature very well. Even being stuck in a game won't change some people's outlooks or characters. Also not everyone stuck in the game has the knowledge and ability as many of the main characters. Some of them might have never played any form of multi-player game before, or even be complete newbies to gaming.

SAO is such a strong commentary on human nature and what happens to people in life or death situations. This episode alays breaks my heart. Kirito was shunned for being a "Beater" even though he tried to save that other beta tester. Then he finally feels like he found somewhere to belong only to have that snatched from him too, then to be blamed by the guild leader for everyone else dying when he did his best to save them all and had to watch all of his friends die in front of him...

People should be less ashamed to give SAO the credit it deserves tbh. You have to consider this came out in 2012, and the LN much before that. On top of pioneering the VR anime genre, (which the only one that comes to mind before it is the .hack series) making isekai a household name, and being one of the first notable new series of the decade, I would argue it deserves to be as popular as it is. The writing keeps on improving, and pays off the more and more you invest into it too. SAO 1 was already good as it was in 2012, but now it's proven the test of time and made bounds to keep fans at bay nearly a decade later. SAO fans should never be embarrassed to embrace their love of the series. I certainly don't. It's already become one of my favorites, and I only got into it a few months back.
