I had a friend who had cancer, when he took his last breath was in complete agony,all he wanted was his pain and life to end his way his choice,I'm for this I hope it's passed

Great. Doctors, courts etc never make mistakes. Im sure this wont ever have a tragedy or result in any kind of despicable actions. Remind me why we dont have the death penalty again?

I'm against this bill too, but it passed. Only it's first stage & it passed by around 58 votes. It's got to get past the Lords now 🙏🕊️

If people wish to die then let them ..all we do is look at other countries who do this see how they safeguard from forced etc and implement all Best practices and take from there.

I think there’s probably a case for allowing it. But I do know there’s a massive court backlog, and while right to get a judges review, it might not be viable to add more work on top right now. If it passes, it might be prudent for a couple of years delay after the bill passing before it’s implemented.

This was a vote, not a plebiscite. As Brexit has shown, there are now more uneducated chimps than informed, open-minded graduate professionals in this country. Those who can spell "favour", for example. When this situation is reversed, we can maybe consider a more populist mandate.

Not having a legal route to ease your own suffering through assisted dying is truly medieval. How we are only having this debate in 2024 is beyond me.
