Nice reaction, This is one of my favorite songs they did even though it's a cover but I like that they featured Kenny Wayne Shepherd and plus Brian May is a legend. So while FFDP does have a few songs and covers that can be kind of sad as they do a lot with the military and police and such but most of their stuff is heavier and isn't. Don't be afraid to do more FFDP reactions just because of that.

I was a first responder. Worked as an 911 EMT for over a year, i was shot at, had a gun held to my head, saved lives and lost lives. It changes you to see the best an worst of humanity but one thing never changes. We will always try until we have done everything we can no exceptions no excuses...

Thank you for your father's service and thank you for commentary on this song. Too few people realize how much a small number of police/fire/EMT do for us when the need comes. They are always willing and able to be there. It is a kind of "hate them until you need them" thing.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying they like the original with sheperd. Im not even a hardcore 5fdp fan anymore but this remake was phenomenal and sounds alot better with real emotions not written ones. Sorry haters but im callin for Moody on this one. Hands down way better then the original which they even wrote. "LIES & IN BETWEEN". Ivan was and has been going through some real shit so you could here that in this song. Stop parroting people and just enjoy this remake.

Fun fact … Brantley Gilbert is a country performer. Brian May is a legendary classic rock guitarist. Kenny Wayne Sheppard is an electric blues guitarist and singer. 5 Finger Death Punch is a heavy metal group. So this 1 song brought together 4 different genres of music into 1 performance that absolutely blow the roof off.

I’m a retired first responder. This song just gives me chills every time I hear it!! Just a few bits of trivia for people that don’t know…the average temp on a house fire is between 1200-1500 degrees. On average, 72% of all first responders suffer from PTSD or alcoholism. 95% have experienced a HORRIFIC death that they relive at least once a week, no matter how long ago that call was. I know I do, and it all came from Downy fabric softener. Prayers for ALL my brothers in sisters in Police, Fire and Rescue…🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️

This was my 1st time hearing this cover. Musically I like this version OK (sorry but I like the more laid-back bluesy groove of the original better). The video was pretty awesome, and my jaw dropped at 1:51 when I saw the welcome sign for my home town of Santa Rosa CA with the banner "From the ashes we will rise"! That was from the horrendous 2017 wildfire that started in the wee hours of the morning and spread fast with 80mph winds - killed over 50 people, most before they could evacuate. Terrifying stuff, but the entire area showed incredible love for the 1st responders, many who came from out of state or even out of country.

I think it's cool that FFDP got Kenny in this video and obviously got his permission to play his music. That shows class to me. Not only did they ask, they involved the original artist in the video with appropriate citations/credit given to the artist. Lots of musicians don't go that far.

That reactor is a drama queen. Don’t judge this band by his headline. Theses guys do make a few videos that make people “sad” but the point of the videos are to bring light to very important subjects that get overlooked. They also have incredibly fast paced enjoyable songs. So now I know why you haven’t played any of my FFDP request that you said you would 6 months ago.

This is a Kenny Wayne Shepherd song from 1997. While the video may be about first responders, the song originally wasn't.
