So there is one driver, the downward firing one, the other is a passive radiator, for small subs its better than porting. The enclosed design is also why you hear it cleanly but it dose not overwhelm the room. Perfect for an office set up. Good review guys!

I’ve got my eye on this subwoofer - so appreciate the review! I have an integrated DAC/AMP (Yamaha wxa 50) and passive speakers (PSB Imagine XB). I’m thinking of getting the Emotiva Flex S8. The amp does not have LFE or high pass crossover on it- so I assume I need to run from amp to sub, then sub to speakers? If I do it this way- it will be with speaker wire- not RCA inputs. Does this mean I lose the LFE and high pass crossover functions?

any feedback on the arc vs playbar, I feel people are forcing the arc but some people not to impressed, however soundbar pretty solid??

We are in the midst of releasing our review but from what we've heard is that it all depends on the age of your TV and whether or not you have e-ARC. This can make a huge difference between the two.

This is the best sub for music below the $500 RSL speedwoofer which is unobtanium at the moment. I feel like your review is biased because it is not a home theater woofer, although I use it for surround sound mobies because I cant stand overpowering subs in my 15x25 room.
