Thanks for the video. Many people associate being EMP proof with being able to block a phone signal. I use the fm radio to test for EMP blocking capability of anything I i might put together.

My husband and I tested aluminum foil using our cell phones. My phone wrapped in foil did not ring when he called it. Try it yourself.

That’s a fairly basic test but it’s not quite that simple since some frequencies require higher attenuation, and if you’re not testing those frequencies, all you’re doing is just getting your phone to not have a signal, depending on how many layers you used. Real faraday bags are tested thoroughly. I would watch EMP doctor on KZbin to learn more. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying with multiple layers it won’t work, all I’m saying is it’s worth knowing more about the science and frequencies to understand how and why it works.

I suspect the "Missed Call" notification was due to the first time you called as you did not answer it. If the faraday bag blocked the signal, the phone wouldn't know it missed a call.

Very true. I missed that. It only would’ve notified the phone if I had left a voicemail. Good catch. Although when we first tested it his phone showed a missed call 4 minutes later after it came out of the bag. Maybe some networks have a Q, I’m not sure.

@@TheSurvivalSummit so you are using a extra phone as a way to play whatever is on there without having to have a cell phone service in operation - in other words if there is no cell phone service anywhere you could still play your videos right?

@@Writerdust correct. You can use any electronic device that can open a pdf. I use an iPhone with a usb adapter.

Or If you’re going from work to home and are stopping somewhere you don’t want anyone to know about. Plenty of reasons some people might need to use one without leaving their phone somewhere. Keeping a key fob in one when you’re not driving since they can be cloned within a close range. There are a lot of ways they come in handy. I probably should have given a lot more examples.
