This type of lifestyle of working for nothing for years likely means they later lack financial means for their retirement years since they weren’t paid (or paid a pittance) and had no way to pay into social security, etc. So many problems, overall, and abuse. Financial devastation is one more problem.

Yoga is a Sanskrit word which means union. The literal meaning is “to yoke”. The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root word “yuj”, which means to join, to integrate, or to harness, essentially it just means union of the one practicing it with the Eternal Source.

Sikhi is such a beautiful thing and he used it to gain power and create a cult, it’s like mixing lies with the truth When it comes to the question weather yoga is a part of Sikhi (Sikhism) well for starters let’s compare it to some Hindu Sects that believe it’s the only way to obtain liberation, Sikhi rejects this notion that yoga is a necessity for liberation, but yoga in itself isn’t emphasized, but if something it good for the mental and physical then that’s a good thing, but also yoga in its sanskirt def means Union, and so sometimes it gets confused with Union, as people were doing these things for Union (back in the day) and so the word changed into the stretches, But what Yogi Bachan did was extremely wrong even if the sexual assault allegations aren’t true, not saying they are or aren’t, however an example I’ll give is this The 7th Guru, Guru Har Rai Ji, Sent his son in his place to meet the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, as Aurangzeb had a question about a line or Shabad in Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the holy Sikh scripture, that seemed on the surface when read to be anti Islamic (it wasn’t, but basically mentioned how it doesn’t matter if the muslim is buried after they die because their soul is no longer in their body anyways, and said it in a way that describes a story of a potter using Decomposed soil from a grave for his clay, same clay he would then burn to make his clay, and Muslims don’t want to be burned when they die) basically the eldest son of the 7th guru, basically lied and said the word was a different word and that it wasn’t talking about Muslims, so as to appease the Emperor, he was Excommunicated by his father, the Guru, and Yogi Bachan has changed Sikhi in his cult, for his own Power and Lust So many things opposed to Sikhi that he teaches so many

For people watching, the 3ho has nothing to do with Sikhi! In Sikhi the gurus criticize yoga and tantric practices so they are literally going directly against Sikhi.

You're right. But in same time, as a sikh we need to respect them even if their practices are different. At the end we all going in the same direction. There's diversity in all religion. For example, in islam, there's sunnite, shia, sufi, etc. Sufi are doing a lot of things against Quran but they still muslims in their way. I condamn the behavior of yogi bhajan. I think at the beginning his intention was good. Western people wadn't know about sikhi, so it was easy for yogi bhajan to teach is own interpretation of sikhi. However, now I think the 3HO kundalini sikh are not in the same situation as 70's, 80's and 90's. I'm sikh and I know some know some 3HO, kundalini sikh. They are nice and live in healthy, happy and holy way ;). 3HO, kundalini yoga, sikh dharma are not the only diversity in sikhi. There's the ravidasi, theGuru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha, the Namdhari, the sikh dharma of the western and others kind of sangat. If Waheguru ji let the diversity into sikhi is for a reason. Anyway, now a day, punjabi sikh are contaminated with the indian culture (cast (Jat), patriarcal). This also is against guru's wisdom. As I said the most important is to connect with Waheguru ji by doing: naam japo (naam simran), karam karo (work honestly) and vand charko (share with others, doing sewa). To be away from: lobh (greed), moh (attachment), kaam (desire), karodh (anger) and umai (ego/ pride). That's it :) Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh ji Waheguru ji keeps you in chardi kala with is kirpa.

Healthy living and being active was encouraged by the Gurus, no mention of Yoga directly but nothing wrong with it. Yogi Bhajan was not a cult, Sant Bhindranwale actually was best friends with Yogi Bhajan and encouraged him to spread Sikhi in the west. Miri Piri academy was made by Yogi in Amritsar and 1000s of non punjabis go there to get knowledge on Sikhism. Stop hating without known the full facts this documentary is all nonsense, Gursant and others have financial issues with the group and have been slandering their names for a while. Love how everyone wants to make a documentary these days lol literally making stuff up for content.

Go to the Gurudwara and sit on the stage and read out the things yogi bhajan said. Let's see how long you will be allowed to sit on that stage.

@@interviews108 distance for me means to let go of everything I do not need. All of those I mentioned they have something good. So I filter that and everything else is gone. Yoga is letting go of that what doesn’t serve you. Also without ego. For me it is a way of living and I embrace the ones who do the same. I let ( gurus ) fortune seekers just be who they are.
