Empyrion Dedicated Server Setup (2021)

I followed this path, but when accessing Steam I don't see my server in the list to play. Can you show how this works in practice. Thanks.

Wow, you made an empyrion server! of course this is for those that haven't done this yet. so, why not show the people where to find it and how to connect to it? How friends can find it etc.

I am desperate to find a server host that allows easy instal of teforged eden, Nitrado does not work for me and vanilla is boring and not really a multiplayer situation

Just did all of this but I still can't figure out how to actually connect to the server.

Once you've installed it then when you open Empyrion you select "join a game" then at the bottom of the join screen you can enter an IP:Port to connect to. You would put your IP and port number there that you specified during setup.

have you had issues trying to change difficulty and other settings under the multiplayer settings ? such as emergency drone despawn and POI regeneration ?

No, those are all a matter of just setting them in the appropriate scenario settings.

Do you have to port forward to play with friends that are on a different ip like with ark or minecraft servers or does the game handle all of that

Yes, if you're hosting locally, you will have to port forward similar to other games like Ark and Minecraft. Firewalls will by default block the traffic.

Is the Steam game ID still the same or is there a different ID for the full release of Empyrion?
