Yes that exactly the problem with drilling the walls, I saw that no other video addressed! Thanks for the common sense, that is my plan drilling the floor. I am going to mount mine up front in the V nose between my cabinets out of sight and out of the way.

How it holding up being under the trailer? Mud water snow? Do you like laying down to plug it in? Does that rubber seal stay plugged in while traveling? Sorry for all the questions. I like the idea but don’t want to lay down in whatever to plug it in. Thx

It's still working great, but my trailer mainly sits in the backyard. I pull it about three times a year. Mostly have no issues with mud, water, or snow because of the placement on the trailer. Nothing really splases up to that area. The rubber seal stays in and keeps it clean/dry. I don't have to lay down to plug it in but I do have to kneel down, maybe a 30 second process for me. I'm very happy with it still, thanks for the questions!

@@yetisized curious. How many itwm can you run off a single plug without a breaker box ? Say with a power bar...

What am I not getting here? If you have to run an extension cord to this outlet device, then why not just use the same extension cord for your tools or whatever you plan on powering up? Just seems like a wasted step to me???? Couldn't you just use some sort of access hole with a a hinged door on it?

Technically, yeah. But it looks cleaner. And you can keep the doors locked up

I used that exact same inlet on my cargo trailer that I converted to a camper. I also put mine in the floor. I built a cabinet in the v-nose.. so I put the inlet in the floor at the front of the trailer so it enters inside the cabinet. Its working great. I have a battery charger plugged into it.. and that's keeping my battery/inverter setup charged.

Great Idea!!! I just bought this same inlet and I was worried about drilling through the side wall. Thanks for the idea.
