Glad you got that figured out! You should 3d print a cover that goes over the turbo that clips on the cage

Awe how sweet we love you too Matt, for real though, I wouldn't be as smart or fast without you. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I'd say shroud the turbo inlet with a turn down of sorts that wouldn't facilitate water being sucked in while driving in the rain. Depends on how your going to use it.

So that’s an air to water intercooler now? 😂

I would get rubber plumbers caps for the turbos when not in use. Drill a small 1/8"ish hole in the bottom of the core to let and water that gets in to drip out. Tom Bailey drilled his after driving in a rain storm and said the small hole didn't leak enough to effect boost pressure. Your mileage may very.

3d print a plug/water diverter for the bottom of the hood. Or make a “cold air” intake sort of ram thing like Calvin did.

Brake a piece of aluminum to cover the turbo inlets (a ledge or drip tray of sorts). Run riv-nuts those into the nearest down bar. Secure those Johnny’s with some button head, hex drive hardware. Boom. Form and function. The outer edge of that quick release assembly on the hood looks a bit suspect. Those two nuts closest to the fender are rusted.

For a quick fix you can 3d print some caps to cover the turbo inlet. Can you pull the latch out and silly cone it before putting it back together to seal it?

Old Jaguars used to have water deflection brackets/plates under the vent holes in the hood. Spray foam!? Very “just rolled in”. Not fancy mechanics.

Better make sure it didn't crack your intercooler end tanks. I guess as long as the water had room to expand they should be ok.
@joshstovall578317 сағат бұрын
Probably just some no hub caps from Home Depot will get it done. Hopefully after letting it sit, you don’t drain the battery before you remember the turbos are capped.

Jack the driverside up and any water in the intercooler will run to the passenger so you can get most of the water out!.

Fast fix would be pcs of magnetic sign large enough to cover everything from the outside.
