SOLD!
Well, that didn't take long. I am glad to see the boat go to someone that will take care of her. It is both a happy and sad day.
As for the kayak sale, here is the link;
www.confluence...
Confluence is having a crazy, end-of season event happening until the end of October. That includes Pelican, Wilderness, Advanced Elements, Boardworks, Perception kayaks, plastic boats and also some neat accessories which are WAY simpler then owning a 31 foot yacht with a fly bridge! Paddling is one of the easiest ways to enjoy being on the water and if you or someone you know is ready to purchase a new kayak, paddle, exocrate, bass raider, etc., this is a great time to do it. Please help support my friends at Confluence and Pelican if you have ever enjoyed my content because they have helped me for years to provide entertainment for you guys. And keep your fingers crossed that I can find the right someone who will enjoy all that my old girl, KT3 can give. It's time for me to pass that baton to someone else and start a new era.

Your videos of when you bought the Kon Tiki III and renovating it, along with your kayak fishing videos really got me through a dark time in my life when my mother was sick and passed away (I was 20 at the time). The Kon Tiki III videos will hold a special place in my heart even though its not even my boat lol. It's really sad to see her go, but I do look forward to you getting back into the simple life in Florida possibly making more kayak fishing videos and some cool build videos.

Hey brother....I understand the philosophy behind putting out quality content. However, just a bit of food for thought....."a lot of your viewers and followers aren't here just for fun and zany content", you've created something more than that. A lot of us see you as a friend....and even more importantly an INSPIRATION. Inspiration for something simpler and relaxed....someone we can live vicariously through as we grudgingly stand in front of our factory work stations and such. You're sorta like the Jimmy Buffett (God rest his soul) of the KZbin Kayaker community....Bare foot...and Caution to the Wind my friend!! All that being said....sometimes we just want an old friend to drop in (or drop a video) for a chat and a beer while letting us know there's hope for something better than the 6am-3pm grind!!

Although I retired in 2006 as a Deputy with the Hillsborough S.O. my last 10 years were with the Marine Unit. I spent many hours patrolling the Little Manatee, and have loved watching you as you fished there and had your Kayak business. Many times I have recalled things we had done as you paddled some familiar places we had worked. Look forward to the next chapter of Zoffinger as you return to Florida.

Honestly your tinkering, puttering around doing little projects type videos have always been my favorite, i must have watched your truck bed buildout videos about 4 times each now. I doubt I'm alone in feeling that whatever random stuff you get into will be more than interesting enough for me. Had been for a very long time. Your creative genius never ceases to amaze me.

Marty, you can make just about anything interesting. Just because it's not a tri-powered Intruder 12 with millions of views doesn't mean we won't watch! There's something to be said about your older videos. A humble person making PVC rod holders for his little red kayak on the living room floor is all we ever needed.

If you change your mind on this idea, try selling raffle tickets to it for $50 or $100 with all of the proceeds going to a charity of your choice (probably something like CCA or other protect the manatees/water/fisheries). Glad to see you still getting after it and glad to hear the pup is doing better.

I get it Marty. I have my own channel. A very small and undiscovered channel but it is a channel none the less. It makes me a little uncomfortable when people make comments to you about you not regularly posting videos. Your tutelage has helped me immensely over the years and I completely understand that if you have nothing to say, you simply don’t say anything. I for one, appreciate your time spent sharing your activities and endeavors. Right now I have been biding my time, paying the bills and planning my next move. I am considering some sort of nomadic move or at very least relocating from Northern Michigan to a warmer climate. I hope someday we get to meet and toss back a few cold ones, yeah a BUD LIGHT! Anyone have a problem with that??? My sister used to say “whatever blows your skirt up” in her living years. She was nomadic herself and I always envied her for that. She lived more in her 36 years of life than most people do into their late nineties! So with that being said Marty, I certainly wish you luck in everything you do. Peace out! Your Brother from another Mother! Mitch

I found your channel way back, about 11 years ago. Poor man's fishing kayak was the first video of yours that I watched and it was only a month or so old when I first saw it. I was trying to decide what I wanted for a one man fishing boat and of course kayaks were in the running. Your content showed me what was possible with a sit on kayak. Although I went with a one man inflatable pontoon my wife chose a sit on kayak and we used your content to customize it for her. I wasn't into the big boat thing but love the kayak and pedal boat stuff, the build videos and the fishing videos. And as a dog lover I always enjoy seeing your pups make an appearance. I hope for your and their good health.

Sad to see it go, your adventures with this boat were great to watch - I know the feeling all too well, grew up on coastal waters of Canada's West coast, we had maybe 4 boats throughout my childhood, only one got sold, the rest eventually just rotted to the point where they were sent to scrap, amazing how the ocean converts 10's of thousands of dollars worth of investment into an artificial reef in such a small amount of time. Dad used to call them "holes in the water you throw money in to". Still, never stopped him from buying another eventually and driving it until it was dead, there's so much freedom in being able to just head off into the great blue yonder, no limitations except what nature and finances put on you.

Marty, I've been with you since your red kayak and Jon boat videos. I know you're a minimalist and thats ok. I just hope you get back into a boat one day because you have a love of water like me. I spent much time in the middle of the pacific during my coast guard years. I grew up on the ocean and always had a love for the water. May I recommend a sail boat because I feel it would suit you well. There's only so far you can reach with a kayak, but with a sailboat the possibilities are endless. Thanks for all the great videos you've posted. I know how much hard work you've put into them.

Thank you Marty, I wish you the best in this part of your life. I cherish the time I was able to stop by in December of 2018 and visit with you. I was on my way to Costa Rica. You welcomed me and treated me with respect. I was the one that gave you the Benchmade knife. Cheers.

Yeah headed back to Florida! When you are free to boat again put the chart plotter on a sailboat. God bless you Marty in the new era to come.

@@zoffingerI hear ya but harnessing the power of the wind has to be so freeing! Keep up the great content at whatever rate makes it enjoyable. I am sure most of us are along for the ride for the rest of our time here on the planet.
