Thank you for all the podcasts lads, UTW. My close season Wolves’ wish list: 1. Return to a proper dark, “Old Gold” coloured shirt as the first team kit. An ancillary personal preference would be for a black second strip, and a deep violet third strip, but those are trivialities - the real Old Gold wish is paramount.. 2. Introduce full free Wifi inside the stadium. 3. Introduce a system for Season Ticket holders that for every weekend home match that is not played at 15:00 on a Saturday an electronic voucher is issued redeemable as a discount on the cost of the following season’s Season Ticket. 4. Announce that Wolves are going to vigorously pursue permission to remove the seating in the South Bank and install safe all standing terracing (including the uncovered corner section) based on the Dortmund model. Make a promise that tickets for the standing area will be significantly cheaper than the seating on offer at that time. 5. Commit to replacing the Steve Bull stand with a continuation of the Stan Cullis Stand, thus assuring the continuation of the club at the Molineux site for the foreseeable future. 6. Inaugurate an affiliation of say thirty of the “traditionally big” clubs with big followings outside the Big Six (not just those currently in the Premier) whose aim will be to protect the interests and competitive viability of those clubs and to strategise co-operatively on opposing the stranglehold of the Big Six. 7. Commission an architect to design some innovative proposal as a solution to an apparently intractable problem: to enable viable passageway in the cramped Billy Wright Stand to seats and toilet amenities, to control queuing at the serving kiosks, to grant small groups adequate space to enjoy a chat along with their beverages and snacks, but above all still provide an unhindered route for exit in emergencies. 8. Stop playing that detestable schmaltzy sentimental Elvis Presley ballad before matches. And stop playing that god-awful club scene music with the screeching and the headache inducing moronic drumbeat. This isn’t Ibiza and we’re not on the dance floor with a nose full of cocaine having just downed our fifth cocktail. 9. Start announcing goalscorers with their first name so the crowd can respond loudly with their surname. Two or three times after every goal depending on its significance. 10. Get someone to compile and publish an up-to-date version of the 2008 Tony Matthews book “Wolverhampton Wanderers, The Complete Record”. Question - Is the Wolves "scrap VAR" proposal just an empty populist measure? i.e. it will please the fans, but Jeff Shi knows there's not a snowball in hell's chance of it getting the support it needs to come to fruition. Jordan is absolutely spot on about Semedo's red card. VAR is the wrong REGISTER for making decisions during a football match - until VAR grows up and can be immediate, irrefutable and discreet (like goal-line technology) then it should be scrapped. Fans should understand that Fosun HAVE invested heavily in making new signings over the past two seasons. Sure, the current squad needs greater strength in depth, but signing and selling players is a fraught venture - nowhere near an easy, nor predictable business. If the right bid comes in then no member of our current squad is ring-fence protected from sale. Making quality new signings is not like the simple task of going out and harvesting the best fruit available, every signing has potential to be brilliant, but is also a huge risk and may be a complete flop. As fans, we need to be fully behind Gary O'Neil and the 2024/25 squad, irrespective of its make up. Fans need to stop moaning at Fosun because we haven't bought Haaland, De Bruyne, Mbappe and Bellingham, or that we've sold one or more of Neto, Ait-Nouri, Cunha, Gomes, Sa, Semedo, or Sarabia. I think Jordan's 6 and a half is absolutely fair. The slide from 9th to 14th was very poor. I think Dave and Finn's 7 or 8 are very generous. Best player this season? I'd say Semedo too. Jonny only played 4 mins in the Prem this season, in the 2-1 home win over Man City! Yes, I absolutely would have loved to be playing Albion in the Premier, though not at the expense of us not reaching Europe. dylanwolf in the billyq

Getting rid of Sasa and Podence was silly, Sasa probably had the most points won per mins played and wasn’t ready for 90 mins so should’ve stayed as the super sub plan B. Podence could’ve played with Neto. Christmas BS with VAR knocked some stuffing out if the team. Would like to see bueno and nouri both start at the same time as they can overlap and under lap each other. Overall can’t really complain about the season though.

I think the season has to be a solid 8-8.5. Gary had less than a week before the start of the season, we didn't really bolster the squad much either. Then tack on the points we lost to poor decisions, and the fact that we're only 6 points off 9th place... That was a hell of a season. Compared to last year, we played some entertaining football, and before when we would go a goal down, I'd think all was lost, but this squad made me think we always had a chance to turn it around. It was a hell of a season that was marred by injuries to key players and poor decisions. Solid season

Who’s the new guy? 😉 I think 8-12th was most likley realistic had we not had the injuries. Happy to see how O’Neil wishes to shape the squad for next season though.

Please don't ever sound like Gary Neville! But yes, when it comes to refing we really desperately need some genuine accountability with an independent panel of adjudicators that is able to retrospectively sanction serious mistakes through suspensions and then actual dismissals of the officials involved. That's really the key to resolving many of these issues. That and scrapping VAR altogether obviously.

Angola has a machete/Communist symbol on their flag, so hopefully that isnt part of the sponsor😂Thankyou time for putting us out of our misery and ending this season. Never in my life have I seen such shocking refereeing, never has VAR been used so badly, never has the aristocracy of the Premier League been more apparent. Add that to Fosun's lack of investment in January, subsequent injuries, and players being on the beach for two months, and the end couldnt come soon enough.

I am a season ticket holder, and travel 200 mile round trip, and so peed off with the appalling refereeing standards and the inept VAR, how can the powers think that leaving the supporters in the dark without any information is a good thing? And when we have scored and we have to await five minutes for them to check every possibility in detail to see if we made a foul ten minutes before the game.... GRRRRR. But and this is key, I now hate football, I still love Wolves, but I hate football, I never watch anything unless it involves Wolves. THE SOLUTION.....unfortunately it is not a quick one, but it is the only way to SAVE football in my opinion? "Football to invest a Billion pounds in AI, then we can finally retire all the corrupt referee's, Linesman and VAR, as simply AI does not care if your a top 6 club, it will be INSTANT and CONSISTANT and also there is no one to argue with? My final point, is don't be surprised if there is NO VAR next season, as there is an underground south bank discussions, about travelling down to stockton park, and burning the place down :)
