Reading the Wikipedia, Burton says it took 35 years to get this movie made. Another 35 and he'd over 100. He doesn't think a third will be made. We saw Lydia and Astrid embrace in the church, we saw Delia and Charles reunited, and that’s all the “happy ending” we get to see. 2:15 I think this point on is the dream. It could be recounting real things at first but otherwise this is Beetlejuice telling Lydia even if you try to move on I’ll be haunting you like William Afton, I’ll always come back, to torment you and marry you or maybe even your daughter. So the movie kinda ends on a bad note not like the first one.

If Delia is Lydia's mom and Astrid's grandma, why the heck do they not act a bit sad when they found out she was really dead? This drove me nuts in the theater, and it still drives me nuts now. Where's the emotion? Why do they act like she just said she's going out of town for a few days?

They know very well the afterlife, for them it's a certainty, and they knew they will see Delia and Charles again here. Even if Lydia can't see her, she know that Delia will be totally alright like her husband. So, it's really like she moved to a different town from their point of view
